Hi Hannah, we’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
My journey began when I first discovered permanent jewelry online in 2021. Soon after, my friends and I wanted to get a piece together, but had trouble finding a local provider. As I delved deeper into the permanent jewelry industry, I fell in love with the creativity, connection, and personalized experience that it offers! I quickly knew that a permanent jewelry business was something I wanted to pursue with my full heart! I jumped in with zero business experience and began booking pop-ups and private parties. Before I knew it, my calendar was packed with events, some scheduled months in advance. To this day, I have never looked back! I continue to pop-up at local markets, businesses around town, and private home parties for birthdays, baby showers, bachelorette parties, and more! As my business has expanded, I have been fortunate to open my own studio space in the Mills 50 District of Orlando, where clients can book appointments. I would not be where I am today without the incredible support from my customers, the Orlando small business community, and the many friends I have made along the way. I am forever grateful and excited to watch this business continue to grow!
Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
I’ve been fortunate that my journey has largely been smooth! The biggest challenge I’ve faced has been navigating the business logistics without any prior experience. I’ve had to learn everything from registering as an LLC to managing sales tax. It’s been a true “learn-as-you-go” process, and I couldn’t have done it without the support from others in the small business community.
