Today we’d like to introduce you to James Staples.
Hi James, thanks for joining us today. We’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
I have always been passionate and interested in cars and washing them my whole life. Growing up in central Michigan, washing cars with my dad was the spark. Buying and restoring my first car really got me into the automotive field. Throughout high school and college, I washed and maintained my and my family’s vehicles; as I got older, I started to perfect my craft and learn more about details. During college, I was privileged to participate in the Disney College Program. I enjoyed central FL and the warm climate and decided this was home. After graduating college, I moved to FL in 2014 and was part of the 5 diamond, 5-star Four Seasons Resort opening team. Through my growth and relationship-building at the four seasons and their club membership, I had the opportunity to start my own business. While working full time, I had been detailing cars on the side, and my coworkers and members saw my potential and where my true passion was auto detailing. I started my LLC and launched Auto Pro Detailing through their support in December 2021. As we approach our 1st anniversary, we are incredibly grateful and excited to continue growing and serving central Florida.
I’m sure you wouldn’t say it’s been obstacle-free, but so far would you say the journey has been smooth?
The biggest hurdle is that I was doing it alone; from December 2021 – October 2022, I was the sole owner and operator. The business was growing, and I needed help! My girlfriend, Gianna, was an Executive Assistant in the real estate field. She had been in this position for about 5 years and was ready to change, so she left her EA position and joined me. Gianna and I have been working together full-time since October 2022. I am very thankful for my time at the Four Seasons of 7 years. My position was great for networking and relationship building. Being surrounded by many successful business owners and entrepreneurs, I wanted to reach for more. Through the support and confidence of friends and peers, I left the hospitality industry to pursue my true passion, auto detailing.

Our company is built on passion-driven results. I have been perfecting this craft over a lifetime and detailing every car as if it were mine. I am most proud of our attention to detail and client relationships.
How would we have described you growing up if we knew you were growing up?
I was very active and social growing up in school and my community. I was well known for my hard work and outgoing personality. I helped my dad manage the office space building that he owned. I cleaned the grounds year-round and looked after the tenants renting space from us. Even then, I was looking for detailing jobs in my hometown. My friends knew me as the go-to car person for car cleaning and maintenance, and that remains true today more than ever. I enjoy maintaining my vehicles and helping train and educate my friends with their cars in my free time.
