Today we’d like to introduce you to Jasmine Robinson.

Jasmine Robinson

Hi Jasmine, can you start by introducing yourself? We’d love to learn more about how you got to where you are today?
I discovered photography in high school when I took a class and quickly developed a passion for it. About halfway through the year, my teacher, recognizing my enthusiasm, told me I could pursue a degree in photography. I explored my options and decided that was the path I wanted to take. In 2010, I graduated from the Art Institute of Fort Lauderdale with a degree in photography. Over the past decade, my primary focus has been real estate photography, though I also specialize in portraits and small events.

We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
While this journey has been incredibly rewarding, it hasn’t been without its challenges. Over the past eight years, I’ve lost four close family members: my brother in 2016, a sister in 2017, another sister in 2023, and my mother at the end of 2023. These losses deeply affected me and caused me to pause or reassess my business at times, particularly in 2023. I struggled to find the energy to focus on stabilizing or growing my business. It wasn’t until June of 2024 that I decided to rebrand and refocus my efforts.

Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know about your work?
For years, I’ve been recognized for my work in real estate photography, a journey I began 10 years ago and have truly loved. However, my passion for photography originally started with capturing people. Throughout 2024, I’ve dedicated much of my time to reconnecting with that creative spark by photographing beautiful individuals. This shift has allowed me to rediscover the deeper inspiration that first led me into this industry.

Do you have any advice for those just starting out?
Find your niche but stay open to evolving into someone you never thought possible.
