Today we’d like to introduce you to Javier Carballido. Them and their team share their story with us below:
Javier Carballido is a singer who accompanies himself sometimes with guitar and other times with a band, currently established in Central Florida after having lived in Puerto Rico and in Cuba, his native country.
His scene ranges from intimate bars where he plays almost daily to theaters and platforms of greater mass appeal. His themes, of love and friendship, the every day and the philosophical.
Its roots are in the son and trova of Cuba. His influences on rock in Spanish and Anglo-Saxon.
Composer of what he sings, but also an interpreter of the popular songbook that influences him as a child.
Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way? Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
It’s not a smooth road when you don’t have the support of a record company. So, it has been a career with a lot of sacrifice and perseverance.

I dedicate myself to singing in venues, to compose songs, record them and promote them
What do you like and dislike about the city?
I actually live in DeLand. I like my city, but I’d like to have music industry offices closer to me
