Today we’d like to introduce you to Jeffrey Rivera.
Jeffrey, we appreciate you taking the time to share your story with us today Where does your story begin?
I was involved in the entertainment industry in NYC where I grew up. Left the entertainment industry to follow a career in the medical field as a registered nurse and after 28 years in the medical field I returned to the entertainment industry and wanted to bring to Orlando a piece of Miami and NYC club culture.
I combined an all-inclusive location with cigars, hookah, liquor, music and nightlife. I have smoked hookah for years as well as cigars and wanted to combine both at a grand scale. I was also a well known DJ in NYC so I added the nightlife. I also wanted to serve food.
Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way? Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
It has not been easy. It took us 1 1/2 years to open due to construction and dealing with a general contractor that did not do his job diligently. Dealing with the city and permits is not easy. Once opened the competition of international in general with other nite spots has become a challenge.
One of the biggest lessons i have learned is that no matter what you do in life you need to done what you enjoy most in life.
As you know, we’re big fans of you and your work. For our readers who might not be as familiar what can you tell them about what you do?
Basically, I worked as a registry nurse for 28 years, a Paramedic for 10 years in NYC and specialized in trauma and management.
I worked as a college professor in the allied health and business department. I started my first business doing CPR and first aid. I always enjoyed helping others in need.
Now I provide a place where people can come and relax as well as get away from their normal life’s and enjoy themselves in a comfortable, safe environment.
Alright so before we go can you talk to us a bit about how people can work with you, collaborate with you or support you?
I am always open to ideas from others to provide the best experience possible (this is what will make Perfectos Lounge above the rest). Simply just visiting my location will be a great support for either a drink, a snack, a hookah, or a cigar. We are constantly hiring for various positions within the lounge as well for our catering services. As for our catering Service we provide an all inclusive package. We rent out Perfectos lounge for private parties such as Weddings, sweet 16, birthdays, or meetings. My Package deal includes photographers, food, liquor, DJ’s, MC’S, Pastors for weddings, Cake and much more. I provide Hookah rentals for private parties. We deliver cigars right to your location where home or office.
If you are looking to to become part of Perfectos Team I am looking for Promotors and event Planners.
If you have teenagers we are starting a teen night on Saturdays from 5-10pm. This will be a great way to provide parents with a break and provide their teens with a safe environment where they can spend a few hours with friends or even meet new friends.
For those that live a Christian life and enjoy music and socializing I am also providing a Christian Afternoon on Saturdays from 12noon to 5pm where you can come an listen to all types of genre Christian music from worship, rock, R&B, rap and even Christian reggaeton.
