Today we’d like to introduce you to Jenny Alvarado.
Hi Jenny, please kick things off for us with an introduction to yourself and your story.
Something It’s funny to remember that God always has a better plan for you. We need a break from what we were living in Venezuela we weren’t suspecting to stay. I love my profession, working for the kids, and being a professional speaker is my passion as same like my husband. But things in Venezuela went even worst so we make the homework and contacted and talk as many people and lawyers and we found the one! The US government offers different programs o visas for people with studies and they are always open for Mental Health therapists (psychologists, my case). Regardless our new situation we’ve felt so lost in so many ways. I worked on amazon, timeshare, customer service and I was studying again. Once I received my Life Coach certificate I started working again with family and kids as a therapist .
But I felt like something was missing So I decide to go back to University. Right now, I’m studying to become a Mental Health Counseling for family and kid’s license .
Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall, and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
The truth is that the most difficult part of everything it’s your mine, your fears, your “but” … You are your worst nightmare and your way to victory . Of course, everything takes time but you just have to believe in yourself. I trust me it’s the most difficult part!
Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
I’m a family coach. My principal focus is to help parents to connect with their kids. My keyword for any process: Communication and fears.
I’m also professional trainer and speaker I provide workshops for companies to improve their corporate to the next level.
Any big plans?
I want to own a place that allows migrants like me to work under the right supervision. Any Mental health therapists, Coach, counselor, social worker with proven certifications would be ably to work in their field.
