Meet Jeremy Prusnek of Stride and Strength

Today we’d like to introduce you to Jeremy Prusnek

Hi JEREMY, we’re thrilled to have a chance to learn your story today. So, before we get into specifics, maybe you can briefly walk us through how you got to where you are today?
My journey into coaching started over a decade ago when I first discovered CrossFit. I dove in headfirst, training and competing, and over the years, I became deeply committed to the community and the principles of functional fitness. Eventually, I transitioned into coaching, and for the past 7 years, I’ve had the privilege of helping others grow stronger and more resilient.

Running has always been a passion of mine as well, and as I became an avid runner, I began to blend my knowledge from the CrossFit space with running-focused training. My own experience as an athlete shaped my understanding of strength, power, and endurance, and I saw an opportunity to create programs tailored to the unique needs of runners.

This inspired me to create Stride and Strength, my remote coaching business dedicated to helping runners build strength, power, and endurance. Recently, I launched the program publicly and am thrilled to offer others the chance to try it out with a two-week free trial. My run clubs, Milk District Run Club and Chill Miles Collective, keeps me connected to the local running community in Orlando, and we share a commitment to both fitness and a positive, social atmosphere.

Today, I continue to train for my own ambitious goals—like running a half marathon with a 20lb vest in under 2.5 hours—while supporting my clients’ journeys, whether they’re just starting out or looking to push their limits. Stride and Strength is my way of bringing together everything I’ve learned to help others become stronger, faster, and more confident runners.

We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
It definitely hasn’t been a smooth road. Like most journeys, mine has had its share of challenges and learning moments. When I first started coaching, I had to really dig in and earn my experience through hours of practice and constant learning. Balancing my own training with coaching others could be demanding, especially in the early days, as I was also working on expanding my knowledge and refining my methods to best serve my clients.

Transitioning from CrossFit into a more specialized focus on running also came with its own set of hurdles. Blending strength, power, and endurance training for runners wasn’t always straightforward, and it took time and trial to develop the right approach. In building Stride and Strength, there were also practical challenges—learning to run a business, establishing a brand, and finding the right way to reach people online.

One of the hardest parts has been the constant balancing act of pushing my own limits while helping others achieve theirs. Training for my own goals, like the half marathon with a weighted vest, demands discipline and time, and I’ve had to find ways to prioritize both my personal goals and those of my clients. But in the end, every setback has taught me something valuable and has pushed me to be better. Each challenge has made the journey more meaningful, and I’m grateful for the path it’s carved out for me.

We’ve been impressed with Stride and Strength, but for folks who might not be as familiar, what can you share with them about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
Stride and Strength is a remote coaching business I created to help runners reach their full potential by combining strength, power, and hypertrophy training with their running goals. We specialize in strength training tailored specifically for runners, addressing the needs they often overlook in traditional training. Our goal is to help runners become not only faster and more resilient but also more balanced and injury-resistant.

What sets Stride and Strength apart is our commitment to personalizing each program. I understand the unique demands runners face, whether they’re training for a 5K, a 10K, a half marathon, or full marathon and I work closely with them to design strength and power programs that fit seamlessly into their running schedules. We offer structured programs with specific warm-ups, cool-downs, and a carefully designed mix of lifting sessions to build strength and prevent burnout.

Brand-wise, I’m incredibly proud of the community Stride and Strength has started to build. With a two-week free trial, I invite runners to experience the program and see how different it feels to train with a structured strength approach that complements their running. At Stride and Strength, it’s all about making athletes stronger, more confident, and better prepared for the demands of their sport, whether they’re new runners or experienced athletes looking to push their limits.

In short, Stride and Strength is here to support runners in building not only speed and endurance but also strength and resilience, creating a foundation that will carry them through every mile ahead.

Is there a quality that you most attribute to your success?
I believe resilience is the quality that’s been most important to my success. Building a business, especially one that’s personal and rooted in my own passion for running and strength, requires the ability to stay steady through challenges. There have been ups and downs, moments of doubt, and plenty of trial and error in figuring out what works best for my clients.

Resilience has helped me stay focused on the bigger picture, even when I’ve had to pivot, adjust, or dig deeper to keep going. It’s about pushing through the tough days, continuously learning, and showing up consistently for my clients and my own training. This resilience has allowed me to create something meaningful with Stride and Strength and gives me the energy to keep growing the business and serving the running community.
