Meet Jessica Borrero of Deltona, FL

Today we’d like to introduce you to Jessica Borrero.

Hi Jessica, please kick things off for us with an introduction to yourself and your story.
Originally, my business started as a side hustle—extra income alongside my work as a nail tech. At the time, I was in the process of getting clean from drugs, and because I had a record from being young and making poor decisions, I didn’t have many options. As long as background checks were required for employment, I knew I wasn’t going to get hired.

So, I set sail as an entrepreneur.

All I had was $400 and faith. I had no idea where I was going or how I was going to do it, but I knew one thing for sure: giving up was not an option. My kids and I depended on it.

Not long after I started, COVID hit, and I had to stay home—locked in and bound to social media. Through lives, videos, and trending products, I went viral overnight. What once started as a measly $400 turned into over a million dollars in sales, with no loans or credit cards—just faith and a dream.

Fast forward to today, and we are now a hybrid company, manufacturing part of our products while outsourcing the rest.

Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
Being an entrepreneur is never a smooth road. There are always more obstacles than expected. Keeping up with trends and innovation isn’t easy. In an ocean full of sharks, standing out among the big dogs requires discipline and consistency.

Finding solutions to problems is essential if you want to survive. In my case, one of the biggest struggles was not having enough supply to meet demand. Another challenge was learning how to survive slow seasons while staying afloat.

Thanks – so what else should our readers know about your work and what you’re currently focused on?
I fill the gap by providing top-quality nail products at affordable prices. I’m known for creating essential products in the industry—such as manufacturing our own acrylics—so that nail techs and enthusiasts don’t have to struggle with mass-market acrylics.

Quality and affordability are what I’m most proud of. My top priority has always been making sure my customers are happy and obsessed with everything we provide.

We’d love to hear about how you think about risk taking?
I am the biggest gambler when it comes to my decisions. If you don’t take risks, you’ll never know how high you can fly. Many people are scared to take risks because they fear failure, but failure is one of the most important lessons in business.

Failure teaches you how to find alternative solutions when something doesn’t work. How will you ever know if you can succeed if you don’t take the risk?

I would hate for anyone to die with regrets—never knowing what could have happened because they were too afraid to risk it all. As long as you have life, you are already rich.

I took a risk by investing in my dream, and to this day, as an individual empire, I’ve been able to live my dream life. It would have never happened if I hadn’t taken that leap.
