Today we’d like to introduce you to Jessica Hernandez
Hi Jessica , thanks for sharing your story with us. To start, maybe you can tell our readers some of your backstory.
My life revolves around being a dedicated stay-at-home mom and a passionate lifestyle content creator. Every day, I navigate the joys and challenges of raising my two autistic daughters, sharing our journey with honesty and love. Through my content, I showcase the products and routines that make our lives easier and more joyful. Balancing advocacy and everyday life, I strive to create a supportive and understanding community for other parents while also cherishing the special moments with my girls. My goal is to inspire and connect with others who are on similar paths, offering a glimpse into our world filled with resilience, love, and endless determination.
Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
It hasn’t been a smooth road. Raising two autistic daughters comes with its unique set of challenges. There have been moments of overwhelming guilt, wondering if I could have done something differently. Protecting my girls from a world that often doesn’t understand them has been a constant concern, and advocating for their best interests can be exhausting. The strain on relationships has also been difficult, as not everyone understands or accepts the differences in our lives. However, these struggles have also made us stronger and more resilient, reinforcing the importance of community, understanding, and love.
Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
I’m a lifestyle content creator and a stay-at-home mom, specializing in sharing the realities of raising two autistic daughters. Through my work, I provide an authentic glimpse into our daily lives, showcasing the products we use, the routines that help us, and the joys and challenges we face. I’m known for my honesty and dedication to advocating for my children’s needs and rights. I’m most proud of the supportive community I’ve built, where parents can find understanding and encouragement. What sets me apart is my focus on real-life experiences and the unique perspective I bring as a mother of autistic children, always striving to inspire and connect with others on similar journeys.
Networking and finding a mentor can have such a positive impact on one’s life and career. Any advice?
Finding a mentor or building a network can be incredibly valuable, especially in the journey of raising children with special needs and creating content around it. My advice is to start by connecting with communities that share similar experiences. Online forums, social media groups, and local support organizations can be great places to meet like-minded individuals. Attend conferences, workshops, and webinars related to autism and content creation to meet potential mentors and network. What has worked well for me is being open and honest about my journey, actively engaging with others’ content, and offering support and advice when I can. Building genuine relationships based on mutual understanding and shared goals has been key to growing my network and finding mentors who truly resonate with my experiences.
