Today we’d like to introduce you to Jessica Torres.
Hi Jessica, please kick things off for us with an introduction to yourself and your story.
Being a woman who suffers depression, PTSD and anxiety, I am always looking for ways to make me feel happy. I have a business associate in business management and knew I had it in me to build my own business. I want to be able to feel I can wake up knowing I am going to work for myself and not feel the pressure of meeting others needs… the struggle is real whether one sees it or not, but there were days and still good where I don’t want to wake up because I feel so depressed and mentally exhausted. But when I work for myself at home I know I can wake up with that passion to reach out to other women and empower them.
We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
Absolutely not a smooth road… investing money you don’t have, juggling your health and motivation by yourself isn’t easy, but my state of mind is so freaking powerful that it pushed me through.
Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
I believe that in life nothing sets us apart from anyone because we are all seeking the same thing… which is happiness and financially freedom, but myself as a women entrepreneur, my set is the strong woman in me. The woman who cries a lot, and struggles to get up can take a picture and seems so happy and motivated and why? Well, because once I change my mindset, I channel myself into this world of success.
The crisis has affected us all in different ways. How has it affected you and any important lessons or epiphanies you can share with us?
Yes, I learned that we need to value and treasure what we have at home because we don’t know when we will remain in it for longer years. I learned they people do care and people do see what you do, and regardless how hard life hits us, we have something called life that we need to embrace everyday we wake up.
