Meet Jose Gonzalez

Today we’d like to introduce you to Jose Gonzalez.

Alright, so thank you so much for sharing your story and insight with our readers. To kick things off, can you tell us a bit about how you got started?
It all takes place on the island of Margarita, Venezuela. Since 1985, I felt the inclination toward the world of beauty and aesthetics but it was not until 1986 that I started as a self-taught worker. I worked without charging anything to those I called “my clients”. In 1990 I traveled to Caracas, Venezuela to study in Law School, and I also took the opportunity to try to get into one of the best aesthetic schools in the country. The money was not enough for both things, however, I decided to stay with beauty and health, graduating with honors and being at the top of the class. I decided to work for a recognized company in Spain since then I haven’t stopped until 2010 due to an unexpected disease called Cancer. I decide to sell and give away all my work tools thinking that I would not be able to continue with my profession. Five years go by and I am forced to emigrate to the United States of America due to threats and attacks on my life, person, and family. It’s there where I begin to build this journal in beauty and health again in California where JoshKolor was born, and other states of the country. Later that I decide to move to Orlando, FL. Where I currently have an aesthetic establishment that has grown over time.

Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
I wouldn’t say I had many obstacles along the way to where I am right now. But challenges every single day, and it is there where I believe everything is started to build. Constantly studying and nourishing myself with knowledge, the paths are smooth and the challenges are much “easier”. Recently I got my Master’s Degree from the “Technological Institute of esthetic medicine of Los Andes”.

Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
I am known for being multifaceted, the areas in which we specialize in joshkolor beauty & health are primarily health and beauty. From the simplest such as facials to molecular remodeling, depigmentation of all kinds of skin blemishes. I work with Platelet Rich Plasma. Linear lymphatic massages and one of the things for which I am most recognized are the famous microblading, powder brown micro-pigmentation and neutralization of dark lips (stained), pen fibroblast, camouflage of stretch marks and scars, mesotherapy, hyaluronic acid, peeling, double chin reduction, facial radiofrequency, dermapen, acne and sensitive skin treatment, ionic detoxification, radiofrequency, virtual mesotherapy, among other aesthetic treatments. We also offer beauty programs and courses in our JoshKolor Beauty & Health Academy.

Can you share something surprising about yourself?
Most of my clients do not know about my abilities, affinity, and interests in the fine arts. I like everything that has to do with creation, painting, arts, drawings, and sculptures. I enjoy creating with my hands and somehow I have channeled that by making my clients’ skin and face my canvas, which allows me to highlight the beauty in each of them.
