Meet Joselyn Rodríguez

Today we’d like to introduce you to Joselyn Rodríguez.

Joselyn, we appreciate you taking the time to share your story with us today. Where does your story begin?
I started my influencer journey in 2019 after giving birth to my 5th child. I couldn’t go back to my career in phlebotomy due to high childcare cost. I have been constantly posting videos and images in my socials since 2019!

I have a passion for social media! I love it! Many see the ugly side of it but I actually see the beauty side, the side that helped me love myself and unselfishly put myself first. See I was always doing everything for everyone putting myself last or not thinking much about how great I was. I let the opinions of others and close peers take the best of me and I people pleased. A LOT!

I kept at it and was very passionate (still are) about my social media career, and my family wasn’t very happy about it; they felt I was lacking at being more close to them. It was a very hard time for me as I had to juggle kids, a house and my ex-husband. Yes, all of this led to a divorce where most people would see it as a fail, I actually see it as a blessing!

I became monetized in a social media app called Likee, where they paid me to go live. I am now verified and my videos are fully monetized. I am slowly growing my social media and my career as an influencer. I have many many goals that I will keep private. I have many testimonies to tell and maybe someday I’ll make it to TedX! I am so grateful to my mom and kiddos for always believing in me and for supporting me no matter what. I am truly blessed to be a mom and be able to get paid for what I love to do.

Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
I had some very rough challenges; after a divorce, I had to find my own place to live and feed myself as well as my kids.

As you know, we’re big fans of you and your work. For our readers who might not be as familiar what can you tell them about what you do?
I do a lot! But I’m passionate about social media and my career as an influencer, where I showcase my love to do makeup as well as role-play and act. I also work for Instacart and UberEats. I started my own online (Facebook) resale shop as well called 222 resale, where I sell thrift clothes for $2.22 or less!

I’m actually proud of my ability to keep going during had times like I don’t know where I find the strength to continue on. What sets me apart from others is maybe just the fact that I am me! That’s it I don’t like comparing myself to others.

Do you have recommendations for books, apps, blogs, etc?
My favorite books are: the Bible of course and twilight; oh gosh, I can’t get enough of them! My favorite podcast is Gary Vaynerchuk’s. It just keeps me motivated to keep moving!
