Meet Justin Hilton

Today we’d like to introduce you to Justin Hilton.

Hi Justin, so excited to have you with us today. What can you tell us about your story?
I started working with my uncle to make money on weekends and summers on construction projects. Moved to Florida when I was 24. Since then, have worked for several companies as a carpenter, a superintendent, and the. Working for myself. I’m self-taught in many techniques I use. I learned a lot working alongside different trades over the years, learning from the tradesman before me. To me, No one skill is for just one thing in my world. One skill can be used on any number of jobs, just like anyone tool can be used for many jobs. And that how I am, one guy, who can do many types of jobs.

Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not, what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
It has not been a smooth road. There are a lot of hurdles. A lot of challenges. It also puts a great strain on relationships and your social life. It all depends on how hard you go at it, what you’re workload is, and trying to catch up when you lose time to weather or other circumstances. It’s a lot of time management and a lot of multitasking. You gotta be able to go in 19 directions at once

Thanks – so what else should our readers know about your work and what you’re currently focused on?
I do a lot of outdoor kitchens, custom home decor, painting, cement countertops, and tile. I’m best known for my creativity with design and my meticulous nature in my work. And that’s what I enjoy most about what I do. I love seeing the customer’s excitement over designs, and I love seeing how happy they are with the finished product. What sets me apart most is I treat people like people. I apply a lot of service skills I picked up working in restaurants to my customer service. I’m fair and honest with people and I do the best I can
