Founded in 2022 by two inspired individuals, Justin Rands and Starr Gomez, AllStarr Rands was born from a shared love of lawn maintenance and landscaping. As a family-owned and operated business, it quickly gained a reputation for quality workmanship, dependable service, and the personal touch only a hands-on team can deliver.
As life often brings unexpected changes, Starr made the decision to move back to Tennessee to be with family, bringing the original partnership to a close in 2024. While this marked the end of one chapter, it also sparked the beginning of something new.
With clarity of purpose and a bigger dream in mind, Justin Rands stepped forward to rebrand and lead AllStarr Rands Landscaping into its next evolution—one defined by bold vision, deeper roots, and a renewed commitment to excellence.

We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
1. Getting out of our “Yard Boy” Stage:
As we first started getting traction with our clients, we noticed that we were known as the “yard boys”. Meaning they saw us as two kids trying to make a few bucks in the yard. It was a long road to rebrand ourselves from “yard boys” to a licensed and insured Landscaping Company. It took raising not only our prices, but also our skillsets, demeanor and standards in order to separate ourselves amongst the rest. Moreover, we had to implement saying no to odd jobs and falling back only to our core competencies in order to break through that barrier and create our brand.
2. Mindset:
Most people never realize this, but your business is a direct reflection of your thoughts, habits, dreams and inspirations. If you grew up with a scarcity mindset, your business will be operated within that same mindset. If you already see the world as an abundance of opportunities, more doors will open for you then you ever thought possible. Bad organization skills? Lack of discipline? All of these things will begin to simmer to the surface as you embark on this journey. Becoming a business owner you will learn way more about yourself then you will about business. It will show you your greatest triumphs and your deepest flaws. It is extreme ownership at it’s purest form, because everything filters back to you, the business owner. Is it worth it? I think so, in a world to where we have very little control. I’d rather be in control of my destiny, take ownership when I fail, dust myself off and get up again the next day. Most people blame the world and the people around them for how they live their lives. Blame yourself every once in a while, as we are the writers of our own story. You’d be surprised what you learn.
