Today we’d like to introduce you to Kaitlyn Stout.
Hi Kaitlyn, please kick things off for us with an introduction to yourself and your story.
I wanted to start a business that I would enjoy being active in, and one where I could genuinely help people improve their lives.
I realized that organization is something that many people struggle with, and when family members and friends were coming to me for help, I realized this was the perfect way to help people and be my business.
Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way? Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
I did not expect for it to be a smooth road as I am originally from Brooklyn, NY and I had just recently moved to Orlando, FL.
Professional Organizing is a business that heavily relies on referrals and word of mouth, so I knew that It would be a challenge for me to gain a presence as quickly as others. It took me a few months to gain my first organic lead and paying client; however, once that first client booked, 3 more followed in the following weeks and I became busier than I could’ve imagined.
Great, so let’s talk business. Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
Life In Order Inc is a Professional Organizing company that serves the Central Florida area. We help our clients declutter/purge, sort, and organize their homes and offices. What sets us apart from others is that in addition to organizing our clients’ space, we implement systems and strategies in order for the client to maintain the organization long-term.
We offer both In-person (physical) organizing sessions and Virtual support sessions. Clients may also use their sessions for 1-on-1 time management and scheduling help with the organizer as well because not all disorganization is physical.
The company’s goal is to help clients tackle the clutter and disorganization that is disrupting their peace so that they can exist in their spaces in a more positive and efficient light. We’d love to hear about how you think about risk-taking?
Our view on risk-taking is that it is important to get out of your comfort zone so that you can grow as an individual; however, it is important to understand what kind of risk is being taken and to make sure it will not drastically impact you in a negative way. Risk is important for personal growth.
We take risks every time we step foot in a client’s space. We understand that it is a big deal for somebody to allow us into their homes and workspaces to help them make choices on their own belongings. Though, we also understand how much we can help a client by getting their lives in order.
