Hi, Kari and Kalista. Can you start by introducing yourself? We’d love to learn more about how you got to where you are today.
We are a mother-and-daughter duo who loves Disney and fashion! We wanted to create custom, one-of-a-kind Disney pieces to wear to the parks, so that’s how Designs by K&K was created! We make upcycled Disney-inspired denim jackets and flannels for Disney lovers of all ages.
We all face challenges, but looking back, would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
Promoting a small business is always challenging, but we have been lucky with great friends who have supported us.
As you know, we’re big fans of you and your work. For our readers who might need to become more familiar with what you do, what can you tell them about what you do?
We love making these unique Disney-inspired items, and the best part is going on the hunt, trying to find unique prints we think our shoppers will love. We measure and make everything fit perfectly on the jacket or flannel and cut and sew it so it’s there to stay. We are so proud and excited whenever we see someone walking around the parks in our designs. We love being a mother/daughter duo, working and spending time together as much as possible, and of course, we always wear one of our designs when we go to the parks!
