Hi Karina, it’s an honor to have you on the platform. Thanks for taking the time to share your story with us – to start maybe you can share some of your backstories with our readers?
Hey there! I am Karina Quiñones and this is my business and life story…
I will start we’re everything started in my life I was born and past my first years of life in Stanford Connecticut, at my 3rd year of school I moved out to Puerto Rico where I grow up, and past rest of my school years.
I was a person that never felt that I had everything Figure out it was really hard for me to understand where I needed to go, or where I needed to be, when I was in middle school, my dad had made my mom a small house outside we’re my mom that studied Cosmetology started doing nails, something that Came up to my attention very much I remember me doing a small 3D design like a snowman, flowers… I was always just at her Table using her stuff, obviously, she was mad but that’s another story lol, but during that time I didn’t Focus on that,
I figure out about in that time gymnastics (acrobatic sport) that it’s one of my biggest passions in life definitely I would say everything that is arts related I could say it’s something I like to do, well that hold on until I got pregnant of a wonderful baby boy that motivated me to make my own business.
To be in my son’s life I know I had to make my own business. So I remember that I loved doing nails in my mom’s little house so I went for it without thinking about it definitely it was something that I never Gave up, It took me so much to make really good nails I remember all the hours I had to be there with a client and at the same time take care of my baby I would say it’s really hard to make it, but I never been a Quitter, I gave it all for me and my baby it took me 1 year to say I was doing good nails that I felt really good with eventually I keep and doing more clients and got My own business in Puerto Rico my nail salon named Karis Nails Quinones it was going really good and had a lot of amazing women as my clients. So much you can be to people when you are a nail tech.
But that hold off until Huracán Maria Pass true and just Destroyed so much that I didn’t have any Option to move out from PR not just my business went down but my son education was at risk so I made that hard decision to stay with my dad in Kissimmee Fl we’re we were living at a little trailer that I first started.
I used at that time a small table from Walmart and a small lamp that I found too, I got all my stuff from PR and just started up in Kissimmee, and went really well for the time, as I said before, I love art so I am passionate for gymnastics (acrobatic sport) as well I wanted to see how my life would be if I could work as a gymnastics coach in the USA sent a resume to A gymnastics school where I got the job, In that time I was a housekeeper in Disney I was so excited that I start crying I definitely went for it.
I was coaching kids of all ages and adults as well I loved it my Favorite place never stop doing nail Either, did nails in the morning and coaching at nights, after 2 years I was Fired from my job and decided to start my business full time in Orlando Fl we’re I currently working up my business and expanding my knowledge and making all my clients Feel amazing and very happy that I have the time and still can be in my son’s life like I always wanted and work for.
In the time I decided to start a modeling career that am currently working with I am participating as Ms. Orlando Petite USA. This is completely amazing and a new Journey for me I decided to make my platform fitness and healthy life where I can show my story of life and help others as well.
I have always felt like I was born for so much and I will always definitely will give my best. I love all arts and am so happy to be able to make people feel good and healthy.
Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not, what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
Definitely, it was a really hard road I had at that moment I started my business I just had a baby that I had to work with him by my side that made Avery thing really hard, as well I lost my business in Puerto Rico because a Catastrophic Huracán pass true and had to move out and had to start again in Florida it has been a lot of Ups and downs but never giving up.

Can you tell us more about what you were like growing up?
Growing up I was this really happy and active little girl always looking to get in all the teams I could like basketball, baseball that made it to finals with my team at that time loved the challenges and competing. I would past the most amount of time with cousins and friends love going out and having family events. Interest of mine always has been arts I loved painting, creating, making unique things. Growing up I would say y really enjoy my life as a kid my parents always were amazing and gave everything for me and my older brother to have an amazing life as a kid.
