Today we’d like to introduce you to Kevon Miller.
Kevon, we appreciate you taking the time to share your story with us today. Where does your story begin?
Ever since I’ve been able to walk, I knew there was something in me that wanted more than average. I guess growing up in a less than fortunate household and seeing what I didn’t want for myself allowed me to seek better.
When I was 11 years old, I used to play this hit game called ROBLOX. I would spend 18 hours a day developing games and working on new projects. The feeling of creativity assisted with me wanting to become an innovator and is where I got my start in tech. I began programming games, animating, and even doing graphic designing for my projects.
By the age of 16, I began making over $800 a day while in school! That allowed me to understand that my value is beyond a 9-5. Once I graduated, I decided to put an end to Roblox as I had grown tired and demotivated.
Over time after going through so many different projects, I’ve finally stumbled upon a great business model focused on helping businesses network more effectively. This bred EzTap.
EzTap is my tech company, tasked with creating products that assist businesses and professionals with networking. Whether we’re educating on networking/partnerships or inventing a product from scratch that helps someone generate new leads… we’re on it.
EzTap first became an idea when a former mentor of mine had introduced me to the technology known as NFC. This technology allows users to tap devices to mobile phones and share information.
I was very fascinated by the concept and decided to create an unlimited business card where users can share the same information you’d put on a business card but with no ongoing expenses. Of course, I had an amazing product and the drive to pull it off… but I didn’t have the resources or connections.
During mid-2021, all the way to the end of the year, I began attending 5-6 networking events every single week to meet professional individuals and to connect myself with the amazing circle of friends and connections that I have today.
Today, EzTap has over 1000 users on our platform and is expecting to grow to 10,000+ this year. I’m amazed that I was able to execute something that is changing so many lives and helping businesses all around.
If I had to give a reason as to why I am where I am, I’d say it’s my ambition, drive, and the environment that I created.
Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
It’s never smooth… but when you expect rough terrain, it’s never truly rough.
The struggles that I’ve faced would definitely be funding. I’ve turned down over $1M in investment offers because I understand it takes patience and time to get to where I want to be.
Another struggle would also be time. There’s only one of me and I can only do so much at one time.
Appreciate you sharing that. What should we know about EzTap LLC?
We are a networking solution SaaS company. We focus on technology-driven products and services for businesses all around.
We’re known for our tech products such as the digital business card (a card that you can either scan or tap using a person’s device and it shares all of your information with them)
We’re different because we love to get dirty. We aren’t only in the business card industry, but we’re in the networking industry.
We want readers to know that our products save people time, saves them money, and even increases their leads.
What sort of changes are you expecting over the next 5-10 years?
We’re definitely expecting big shifts in the near future. Especially this year. We would like to increase our user base by over 100%.
In 5-10 years, we’re expected to be a multi-million dollar company that is as beneficial as uber, doordash, airbnb, and other unique tech companies of their kind.
