
Today we’d like to introduce you to KeVyn Grant.
Hi KeVyn, it’s an honor to have you on the platform. Thanks for taking the time to share your story with us – to start maybe you can share some of your backstory with our readers?
Like many others, when the pandemic hit, I was financially burdened. I thought quick about something I was genuinely passionate about and decided to finally invest in myself and hone in on my gift. I grew up in the kitchen. In high school, I was in the culinary arts program. My mother and great-grandmother are definitely my biggest influences.
Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
Over the past year, I’ve grown so much knowledge an mastered some new skills. I’ve also relocated in January to Orlando from Fort Lauderdale. The transition was seamless. I’ve had the opportunity to network with the people of my new community and set bookings.
Thanks for sharing that. So, maybe next you can tell us a bit more about your work?
I am a Private Chef, Founder, and CEO of Keys Kitchen Catering. I specialize in Southern “Soul” Food. It is what I am proud of and most known for. What set a me apart from others is that I can speak to your soul through meals. I know how to make anyone feel at home. I’ve been in the customer service and hospitality workforce over ten years. I use that skill and apply that to my daily life.
What matters most to you? Why?
Family means the absolute most to me. When it’s all set and done, family is all you have. I am the oldest of four.
