Meet Krystle Stella

Today we’d like to introduce you to Krystle Stella.

Krystle Stella

Hi Krystle, so excited to have you with us today. What can you tell us about your story?
My name is Krystle Stella, and I am 37 years old. I am a mom to two beautiful girls, a 5-year-old and a 7-year-old. I’m also a wife to a fantastic husband. We have been married for 14 years. I am a health coach in the East Orlando area and run a satellite nutrition club from home. We deliver protein shakes, energy refreshers, and protein snacks. I also volunteer for my daughter’s school PTA committee and a Sunday school teacher at my church, Awake Florida. Last, I also work 11 pm-7 am Per diem as a CNA for Westminster’s Winter Park. My story began with a small piece of paper that said FitCamp in the middle of a Walmart in what felt like the worst season of my life. At that time in my life, I was going through postpartum depression, and my marriage felt like a roller coaster. My days were filled with lots of tears and lots of pain. When I was handed the invitation to Fitcamp, I didn’t overthink it. I put it in my purse to not be seen again.

However, God had other plans a few months later. I woke up early one morning, and my only thought was Fitcamp. I looked all over for the piece of paper, but I could not find it, so thanks to social media, I did some research and found the young lady who had given me the invitation. However, the class had already started, so I was too late. The following Saturday, I woke up early, and I was able to get to the Fit Camp. I intended to go and work out. Part of my struggle at the time was losing the weight from having my second daughter. I knew I had to do something to get out of my depression. If I went and worked out, it might help me. I just found out that Fitcamp would be far more than just a workout. I met amazing women who had stories just like mine, women who have gone through the path I was going through and overcame it. These women gave me hope and brought a new joy into my life that I didn’t know I needed. I started going to Fitcamp three times a week. I lost 30lbs, which made me feel more confident about myself. But I gained a tribe who helped lift me out of the depression that I was in.

January 2023, I was given an invitation to go to an event with my coach. I said yes to the invitation because I had felt she had given me so much in the last few months that the least I could do was support her in her event. Little did I know that this event was the beginning of my new journey. After the event, I was offered the opportunity to become a health coach. I had no idea how to be a health coach, but I knew I wanted to help others live better lives. Something from the event stood out to me: the fact that I can build a business and leave that business to my kids without them having to qualify for it, the ability to be a present mom in my children’s lives, and the ability to be able to work from home all.

In contrast, my kids get to be a part of it, and that’s what sold me. However, I had to talk with my husband before I could say yes. I remember feeling so scared and nervous that he wouldn’t be on board, but to my surprise, as soon as I told him about it, he was so encouraging that I knew I had to do it. So, I became a health coach. I have helped many women reach their goals, not just physical weight loss, but I help them find a place where they are welcome, they are not judged, and they can be vulnerable and share or express whatever is going on in their lives. I was able to build a tribe just like the one that helped me out of my depression. Today, not only do I run five fit camps a week, but I’m able to offer them free to the community. As a mom, I remember struggling to be able to go to the gym because of childcare, so when we started our Fitcamp, we started it with an open door for the children to come. They can either work out or play together, making new friends. In addition to the workouts this year, we partnered with a local church, ran a canned food drive from our Fitcamp, and were able to help feed over 40 families with a Thanksgiving dinner.

In October, we created and hosted our community’s first breast cancer awareness walk. It was so nice to see the ladies come out all in pink and to be able to hear the different stories that they have gone through. We hosted a women’s tea party in my church, Wake Up Florida, where women from the community came out. We had speakers pouring into the ladies, giving them strength and hope and teaching them about self-love. One of the ladies at the tea party was a lady in her 70s who had never said she was beautiful. I took it as my mission to get her to say it before the event ended. With much joy, I am pleased to say that before the event ended, she said I am beautiful. These are the moments that fill my cup to the top. In December, as a gift to our ladies from our fit camps, we hosted a spa party where we could pour into them a little more before the year ended. We run monthly 21-day body transformation challenges virtually. We offer a meal guide, recipes, snacks, ideas, and workout videos that can all be done on your own time. So it doesn’t matter where you are located; you can always be connected and a part of our community. There’s no greater feeling than seeing the joy and smiles on the faces of these ladies. The weight loss is amazing, but the overall transformation in the end is the part that touches my heart: seeing them when they first walk in, sad or angry, and being able to bring joy into their lives. That’s why I do it every day.

Can you talk to us about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned? Looking back, has it been easy or smooth in retrospect?
One of the greatest challenges I faced was believing in myself. Also, remember that the past does not define your future. I grew up in what they call the ghetto of New York. Although my mother always raised us, believing we can be anything we put our minds to. Our teachers and our surroundings didn’t always give us that hope of a better future. My fear of what could go wrong would often stop me from going forward. Then I learned that “the person who moves will always get further than the person who just thinks about it.”

As you know, we’re big fans of you and your work. What can you tell our readers who might need to be more familiar with what you do?
I am a Health Coach who offers 21-day transformation challenges. I also run fitness camps where we have strength training classes, Zumba, and cardio drumming. I also have a satellite nutrition club from home, and we deliver protein shakes, energy refreshers, and protein snacks. Our classes are on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays at 6:30 pm. Saturday class is at 10 am, and we have a women’s empowerment class on Thursday nights at 9 pm.

Before we let you go, we’ve got to ask if you have any advice for those just starting.
Never stop believing in yourself. If God has given you the idea, he will provide you with the blueprint. Always remember that consistency is key no matter what you’re doing. Just keep doing it. When you’re feeling overwhelmed, take a step back, go for a walk, and don’t give up. Martha Beck said, “How we do anything is how we do everything,” so sometimes it’s not just about evaluating the situation; we must step back and look at how we do everything. Messy minds need to think clearly. My recommendation is to take time every morning and do personal development videos. You must fill your cup before pouring it into someone else’s.
