Today we’d like to introduce you to Lauren Russell.
Hi Lauren, it’s an honor to have you on the platform. Thanks for taking the time to share your story with us – to start maybe you can share some of your backstory with our readers?
I started my business in 2017 making gemstone bracelets for friends. As I got more involved with the healing energy of the stones and crystals and my online store expanded, I became more aware of and benefited tremendously on a personal level from meditation and Reiki healing energy. A friend invited me to a sunrise meditation/reiki circle on the beach in Boca Raton, FL and that was a life-changing moment for me.
Other avenues of mind, body & spirit care and healing modalities really interested me, and I wanted to learn how to do it for my self-care practice. By popular demand and my love of learning, I eventually started working with clients and helping others do the same over two years ago when I reached practitioner status. In 2020, I was able to complete Reiki Mastery and now enjoy teaching my students do the same through Reiki 1, 2 & 3. Fast forward to today, I will beginning my third year working with clients in person in my studio in Orlando, FL and virtually as well as continuing to spread my love of crystals with my community as well. My mission is to share the wisdom, education and tools that have helped transform my life with the world and to help as many people as I can accomplish their goals, expand on their growth journey, and facilitate their own personal healing.
Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
I don’t think it’s ever a smooth road when you decide to start your own business, LOL. I always say as I grow my business, my business also grows me (in all aspects). Some of the struggles along the way were finding ways to pivot and be innovative amidst the pandemic, learning the ins and outs as a new business owner and everything that entails. Having a type of business that most people have never heard of also brings its own challenges at times, but I think it is really an amazing opportunity to teach people and raise awareness about alternative & holistic healing options.
Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
I am an entrepreneur, Reiki Master healer, crystal junkie, intuitive, transformational trainer, educator, empowerment influencer. My vision for The Magic Mirror is to educate and help people evolve into higher versions of themselves & tap into the truth within. The truth is, I’m pursuing my passion, impacting people, and helping others equip themselves with the tools they need to do the same. My intention is to create the space for you through The Magic Mirror to provide you with the same tools and information that have played a vital role in my own life: meditation, reiki services, crystals & other tools to help you on your growth journey.
I have been trained and attuned in Usui Reiki in Levels 1 through Mastery, which is a Japanese healing modality that promotes health, wellness, quality of life and restoring overall balance of mental, emotional, spiritual & physical well-being. I work with clients in-person or virtually through distance reiki healing sessions and meditation. I also offer Intuitive coaching sessions, one-on-one and group Reiki 1, 2 & 3 classes for my students, and collaborations with others on workshops, group classes.
What sets me apart from others is my unique approach and authentic connection with my clients. It is amazing to see the results and growth of all of my clients and also how much I learn and am inspired by them as well! I am most proud my creativity with creating this brand. From my logo to website to my design of my office space, I have allowed myself to create feely.
Can you talk about how you think about risk?
My perspective on risk is that there is no other way to create the life you want to live without taking risks. It’s worth taking risks because even if it doesn’t work out, we always learn something. Have the faith and confidence that you have what it takes to turn your vision into a reality. The best investment you will ever make is in yourself!
