Meet Leonardo Mujica of Orlando

Today we’d like to introduce you to Leonardo Mujica

Hi Leonardo, please kick things off for us with an introduction to yourself and your story.
I am Leonardo Mujica, I was born in the small city of El Tigre in the state of Anzoateguí in my beautiful country Venezuela back in 1988 on the afternoon of August 30, since I was little I always leaned towards the arts, I was not the best student in primary school, I was always distracted as if absent in classes but my mind was always dreaming, imagining and creating stories like the one I tell you today a few years later, I always stood out in school plays and in dance, even when I was older. I didn’t dance that much but my small participation in those works opened a gigantic appetite in me for the art of acting, I studied public accounting at one of the best universities in my country such as the Universidad de Oriente nucleus Anzoategui.

I started my career in the world of modeling by a great coincidence, I remember that I had enrolled in a modeling academy in my area just to experiment and it was there where I met the person who gave me the opportunity to be in a male beauty pageant, sandro mustillos who at that time was the director of the Mister Earth contest in its first edition, participated representing the Araya peninsula, one of the most beautiful places that my country has and the area with the largest salt lagoons in the national territory, there I met my first guides and mentors in the world of catwalks such as my dearest Carlos Machado, MIchelle Gonrod and Jefferson Bastidas, I obtained the mention of mister friendship and was in the box as first finalist. participation that opened my doors full of opportunities and among them was being the image of great brands in my country, such as NESTEA, Maltin Polar, Whiskey William Lawsons, among others. I was part of a great talent training and preparation project called “the 7” by Heitter Diaz who helped me in my personal and professional growth as an actor, I was in the production of a national film called La zonata del pajarillo which was produced by the cinema village and the cnac, where I had preparation from the hand of greats who I call masters such as Ennio Velazquez and Tony Gonzalez, but due to differences with the production I was not able to complete it, I prepared more in depth with the very talented first Venezuelan actor Antonio Cuevas.

I started my career as an international model in Argentina working with Dulio Bianchi at Maat Models, there I managed to catch the attention of Gustavo Granados who is the owner and director of Gustavo Granados Managements located in the city of Miami, and with his help I managed to conquer a part from Asia called Mumbai in India filling my portfolio with more than 22 television commercials and having participated in Bollywood which launched me into one of my highest moments, I worked in philippines, jakarta for brands such as nissan, suzuki, aprilla gold chocolate, mina gaga noodles and gg moves cigarretes which were one of the most commercial brands in the industry, I was in Mexico with the intention of growing my career and that was when I had my first contract for television in a televisa soap opera where I shared the scene with great actors such as my countryman Enmanuel Palomares, I had the opportunity to get on the acting stage with a play titled MAEPDV, from there I took the courage and came here to give my career a significant takeoff hoping to knock on the doors of Hollywood or independent production companies.

Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
The truth is that it has not been easy at all, first having left my country and abandoning everything to pursue a dream, the second was leaving my family in a complete dangling thread for not knowing when to hug or see them again, third and more As a beginning, I gave myself to a work agenda that I did not understand about sentimental or special ties, such as a birthday, the marriage of my older brother, the distancing and separation for a few years from my daughter, my mother and my brothers, and all to pursue a dream, in a career that often requires more than what gratifies you, and here I continue with the same dream and without being able to hug mine, dreaming now of one day seeing them again before they go to hell. always

Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
Currently I am an Actor and performing arts instructor, to tell you how I am distinguished from others would perhaps be to say that I am there for my students as no one was there for me when I started my career, I was well known in my area in Venezuela for my vision of fashion and the way I taught, helped and encouraged my students, something that makes me proud is looking in the mirror and seeing how far I have come with only 50 dollars and a little luck, I lived in 13 countries, I learned 2 languages and I have friends anywhere in the world

Can you share something surprising about yourself?
Currently, the fact that despite my career, my current work activity is not my passion and that I am older than I look.
