Today we’d like to introduce you to Lupita Alvarez.
Alright, so thank you so much for sharing your story and insight with our readers. To kick things off, can you tell us a bit about how you got started?
My journey began over a decade ago when I transitioned from the corporate world of advertising & non-profit sector into entrepreneurship. I had always been passionate about supporting others, but when I first stepped out on my own, I focused entirely on business coaching—helping small business owners with strategy, time management, and systems.
But after five years, I realized something was missing—not just in my clients, but in myself. Strategy alone wasn’t enough. So many entrepreneurs were overwhelmed, burnt out, and completely disconnected from themselves… and I was starting to feel it too. That’s when I began integrating more wellness into my own life—especially sound healing. I went to my first sound bath in NYC, and it was life-changing. It was the first time I truly rested in what felt like years. It also provided so much clarity when I felt stuck in the grind of being an entrepreneur, I never would have imagined how big of an impact it had.
That moment planted a seed.
Today, I run Ignite the Fire Inside Wellness, where I blend holistic business strategy with wellness practices like sound baths, guided reflection, and intentional time management. I help high-achieving entrepreneurs grow sustainably without burning out. From local workshops and speaking gigs to floating sound baths and group coaching, I’ve built a business rooted in clarity, alignment, and restoration.
One of my proudest offerings is the Small Business Accelerator—a 10-day high-impact group coaching program that helps entrepreneurs grow their network and net worth through in-person workshops and speaking gigs, without relying on ads or endless scrolling. It’s a culmination of everything I’ve learned from growing my own business the aligned way—and it’s been incredible to watch others step into more visibility, confidence, and ease through this experience.
At the core of everything I teach is one simple belief: Rest = Revenue. True success doesn’t come from doing more—it comes from doing what matters most, with presence, clarity, and intention. That’s the fire I help entrepreneurs ignite within themselves. No need to be glued to your phone or laptop to make your business feel good and run effortlessly.
I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
I like to say, to be an entrepreneur requires flexibility at every stage and yes, there will be bumps along the way otherwise why would we go into this exhilarating path, right!! Filled with powerful lessons, that’s for sure.
One of my biggest early challenges was learning to unlearn the “always on” mindset I brought with me from working in my previous roles in the corporate world. I carried this belief that my worth was tied to how productive I was or how much I could give—and that bled into my business. I loved serving my clients, yet I was constantly overcommitted, under-rested, and running on fumes.
Another struggle? Being a multi-passionate entrepreneur. I have a heart for both strategy and healing, and for a long time, I felt like I had to choose. But trying to separate the two didn’t feel authentic. It wasn’t until I embraced both sides—strategy and soul—that everything started aligning. The soul part is filled with moments of intentional stillness and purposeful pauses that make it all worthwhile.
And of course, like so many women of color in business, I’ve had to navigate spaces where I felt like I didn’t fully belong or where my approach (especially my philosophy around rest and sustainability) felt countercultural. But that only deepened my commitment to doing business differently.
The biggest shift came when I stopped building from urgency and started building from alignment. That’s now the core of everything I teach.
As you know, we’re big fans of Ignite the Fire Inside Wellness. For our readers who might not be as familiar what can you tell them about the brand?
I support entrepreneurs as they realign their business with their well-being—because sustainable success starts within.
I specialize in blending practical business strategy with restorative wellness practices, so my clients don’t just grow their businesses—they grow with clarity, intention, and integrity. Whether it’s through personalized coaching, strategic workshops, or immersive sound baths, everything I offer is rooted in one core belief: Rest = Revenue.
I’m known for bringing both heart and strategy to every experience—helping high-achieving business owners build momentum without burning out. One moment I might be leading a group of entrepreneurs through a time management workshop, and the next, I’m guiding a sound bath under the stars. It’s that integration of strategy and soul that sets this work apart.
Some of my most popular offerings include:
-The Small Business Accelerator – a 10-day group coaching mastermind focused on growing your network and net worth through in-person workshops and speaking gigs (no ads required!).
-Keynote talks & strategic wellness workshops for organizations and retreats.
-Floating Sound Baths – high-end sound healing experiences designed to fully reset the nervous system.
-And of course, 1:1 holistic business coaching that helps entrepreneurs master their time, refine their goals, and create sustainable systems for growth and of course to increase their revenue!
What I’m most proud of brand-wise is that this isn’t about “hustling harder.” My brand invites you to lead differently. To pause. To protect your energy. To build something that truly supports you, not just your to-do list.
If you’re someone who’s done the hustle… who’s accomplished a lot but feels something is still misaligned… this work is your invitation to come back to yourself—without losing your edge. Because yes, you can grow your business and feel good while doing it.
Can you talk to us about how you think about risk?
I have a very grounded relationship with risk—it’s not about being reckless, but about being aligned.
For me, risk-taking has often looked like listening to that inner knowing, even when the decision doesn’t make sense on paper. One of the biggest risks I took was opening my own meditation and wellness studio locally in Winter Haven. At the time, it felt bold. I wasn’t sure how the community would respond to sound healing or mindfulness practices—but I knew it needed to exist.
For two beautiful years, that space was filled with connection, stillness, and transformation. And then, just as intuitively as I opened it, I made the equally bold decision to close it. Not because it wasn’t working—but because something new was calling. It was a huge risk to let go of something that was “good” in order to make room for something great.
That decision opened up an entirely new chapter—traveling across the state (and now internationally!), hosting events, speaking at retreats, and offering sound baths in places I never imagined. Letting go of the studio made space for my work to expand in ways I never could’ve predicted.
So yes, I absolutely take risks—but they’re rooted in clarity and trust. Even when a decision feels uncertain, I’ve learned to ask: Is this aligned with my bigger vision? Is it for this season, this time? And if the answer is yes, I trust that new doors will open on the other side.
Risk isn’t always about going bigger. Sometimes, it’s about choosing what’s right—even if no one else understands it yet.
