Hi Maria, thanks for joining us today. We’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
My name is María Moran, Venezuelan, born in Caracas but have lived in Maracaibo for a long time; wife, mother, grandmother, and friend. I am an architect by profession, a teacher by vocation, and a pastry chef by passion and by heart. Today, I want to tell you how Arome Bake & Cake was born, “Where architectural creativity merges with baking. Amid the uncertainty of the pandemic (2020) and my husband’s illness, Arôme was born, a cozy corner where the passion for baking is intertwined with the experience of my profession. Arome Bake & Cake comes from the mind of an architect passionate about precision and beauty in every cake, every bread, and every delicacy we offer. Each product is a work of art, a reflection of the dedication and care we put into each creation.

Alright, let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall, and if not, what challenges have you had to overcome?
Arome Bake & Cake is a testament to resilience and creativity in challenging times. Our success has been starting with what we had and overcoming the fear of the unknown. As I mentioned at the beginning, Arome was born due to my husband’s cancer; since he could not work while he was operated on and taking treatment, at first, it was difficult to make ourselves known, but once people tried the product, they recommended us and little by little We have been growing little, it has been a path more full of satisfaction than obstacles. We are grateful for the welcome and for allowing us to grow and be part of our client’s homes. The challenge is to be better every day and offer excellent quality in our products and services, allowing the focus to improve every day. Today, we invite you to be part of this story, and I motivate you to carry out your projects because anything is possible with dedication, focus, and faith.

Let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know about your work?
Bakery and pastry, especially personalized cakes, innovating the baker market while applying modern baking techniques to create cakes, bread, desserts, cookies, mini desserts, and more. Our focus is Venezuelan gastronomy, and we have formed a trajectory that has been known for our flavors and for creating different pastry products with excellent presentation. We are proud of everything we have learned; we constantly train ourselves to offer exceptional quality products that make a difference—always thinking about growing.

What changes are you expecting over the next 5-10 years?
We go to a physical location, such as a well-known bakery and pastry shop, locally and then nationally. Our short-term goal is to have a physical establishment where we can offer the good service that characterizes us, and that is just the beginning of our big dream. We are always innovating and offering our products with love.
