Meet Mariana Ceratti of My Vacay Home LLC

Today we’d like to introduce you to Mariana Ceratti.

Hi Mariana, so excited to have you with us today. What can you tell us about your story?
My journey started at the end of 2019, when we purchased a home in a vacation community. In 2020, my husband and I decided to move to the United States for a short period, with the goal of improving our English and giving our children the opportunity to experience different cultures, as Central Florida is a hub for tourism and welcomes people from all over the world. As an international student for four years, I had the opportunity to immerse myself in American culture and gain a deep understanding of the tourism industry. Living full-time in a resort-style vacation community and managing our own property gave me firsthand insight into both the rewards and the challenges homeowners face, and I quickly realized how important it is to have someone trustworthy nearby who truly cares about a home.

These experiences inspired me to begin a new chapter of my life in the United States as a businesswoman and foreign investor. After gaining this understanding and preparing for the future, I officially launched My Vacay Home in March of 2025. Since opening, the business has grown from helping neighbors and fellow homeowners with individual needs into a trusted, professional service built on referrals and word-of-mouth, thanks to our honest and reliable reputation. From the very beginning, my goal has been to build a business rooted in trust, reliability, and genuine care, treating every home with the same level of attention and respect I would expect for my own.

Over time, those relationships became the foundation of a growing business. Today, I support not only short-term rental owners but also long-term residents, local homeowners, and property managers, providing maintenance, repairs, interior design, renovation services, and ongoing support to help keep their homes safe, functional, and well cared for.

Being part of this community is what makes this work so meaningful. I’m proud to be a local business owner serving my neighbors, helping homeowners protect their investment and giving them peace of mind knowing they have someone nearby who genuinely cares and is always ready to help.

Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
No, it hasn’t been easy, and it still isn’t. Adapting to a new culture—especially for our children at school, making new friends, and finding our place—has been a true life restart. The whole process of personal and professional growth had to start over from scratch: a new language, a new culture, and entirely new experiences.

It’s important to highlight, however, that our neighbors, new friends, and the welcoming community where we live have been incredibly supportive. They encouraged us, made us feel included, and have been a key part of our journey. Our neighbors—there are over 400 homes in our resort community—many of whom are now clients, have played a central role in our success.

One challenge that remains a source of concern is the process of changing our immigration status from student to investor. It was long, costly, and unpredictable. Even after approval, the current immigration environment can change overnight, affecting both our personal and professional lives. This uncertainty is one of the hardest aspects for us as a family.

As you know, we’re big fans of My Vacay Home LLC. For our readers who might not be as familiar what can you tell them about the brand?
My Vacay Home is a full-service property maintenance and hospitality services business serving homeowners, short-term rental owners, long-term residents, and property managers in our community. We specialize in cleaning, maintenance, repairs, interior design, and renovation services, providing hands-on support to ensure that every property we care for is safe, functional, and beautifully maintained. What sets us apart is our combination of reliability, personalized attention, and a deep understanding of the needs of homeowners and property managers. As someone who has personally lived the experience of owning and managing a vacation property, I know firsthand what matters most to owners: trust, responsiveness, and care. Our clients know that we treat every home as if it were our own, and that level of dedication has helped us build strong, lasting relationships within the community.

What were you like growing up?
Growing up, I was curious, determined, and always eager to learn. I loved exploring new ideas and taking on projects, whether it was helping out at home, organizing school activities, or discovering creative ways to solve problems. I’ve always had a strong sense of responsibility and a desire to help others, which naturally led me to enjoy activities where I could make a positive impact.

I naturally make friends easily. My honesty and trustworthy character have always drawn people to me, and I value the meaningful connections I build. I’ve also always been drawn to creativity, whether through design, art, or finding new ways to improve the things around me. Looking back, these interests and traits really shaped who I am today—someone who values hard work, personal growth, and building genuine relationships, both personally and professionally.
