Today we’d like to introduce you to Mariel Le Maitre.
Mariel, we appreciate you taking the time to share your story with us today. Where does your story begin?
I’m from Venezuela, I’ve been living here for almost four years, I’m a wife and a mom of a three years old girl. I like sports, I do yoga and mediation on my free time and from that is where my passion for candles comes thru I use them for my relaxing classes, I try to include them in my daily routine. I decided to make candles for myself and my family and friends encouraged me to expand my passion to everyone, with variety of candles that are organic made with soy wax. Also, I offer candle workshop, I called them candle party where I guide people that would like to make them own candles and can connect in the process.
We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
One of the obstacles that I could think of it will be that language barrier.
Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
Back in my country, I was an attorney, coming here I convinced myself to do more and explore my crafty side and not be just a wife and a mom also a businesswomen. I think is different because I do it with passion and enjoyed to make each of then.
Do you have any advice for those looking to network or find a mentor?
There were a friend that have experience in this field for years, she guided me to improve my technique.
