Today we’d like to introduce you to Marko Rivera.
Hi Marko, please kick things off for us with an introduction to yourself and your story.
I studied Sound because I always was involved on it as a musician, but my way changed when I started working in a TV station, there I found my passion and my skills in sound. After a few years as a sound technician in the TV station, I started to work freelance in films as a location sound mixer. I’m so happy to find this job because is a really great experience working with all the people on the film industry.
Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not, what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
It hasn’t been an easy road, I always have challenges along the way, each project is different and is another opportunity to grow and learn. I have to be prepared for any situation and overcome the obstacles.
Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
Since 2009 I started working in the films as a location sound with the time, I have accomplished more experience. After some years I decided to do my first documentary film as a Producer and director.
This film is about following your dreams and fighting for it.
It is an inspirational story that shows us that we can do anything.
I think that is what makes me different because I always looking for something else and never give up.
What sort of changes are you expecting over the next 5-10 years?
I think everything is changing with the technology, social media, and new platform, but in the same way, it is good for the industry because it gives us more opportunities to get new experiences and projects.
