Hi Martha, we’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
Churros & Cream began in Puerto Rico, and although the business didn’t initially grow as I had hoped, it planted the seed of a dream. Ten years ago, my husband made the life-changing decision to leave his engineering career to join me in building Churros & Cream together. Over the years, we’ve experienced many highs and lows, but this journey has been incredibly rewarding. We are truly grateful for the continued support of our loyal customers, family, and friends who have helped us grow and thrive.
Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
Like any small business, we’ve faced our share of struggles. There were slow seasons where sales barely covered expenses, stormy weather that shut down events, and the uphill battle of building a name from scratch in a crowded market. There were moments of doubt, long days with little rest, and times when we wondered if we’d make it. But each challenge made us stronger and more determined to keep pushing forward.
As you know, we’re big fans of Churros & Cresm. For our readers who might not be as familiar what can you tell them about the brand?
At Churros & Cream, we want people to know that our brand is built on love for what we do and for the customers we serve. What truly sets us apart is the care and passion we put into every single churro.
Our churros are always made fresh to order, so every bite is warm, crispy, and full of flavor. We use high-quality cream fillings because we believe our customers deserve the best. We also keep things simple and fun by offering a variety of sugars to roll your churros in, like powdered sugar, colorful sprinkles, or our classic favorite: cinnamon and sugar.
