Dear Readers,
The beginning of Valiente felt like a prayer—an intention so deeply rooted in thought that it willed itself into existence.
I was born in Texas, but I grew up in the beautiful yet moody city of Guadalajara, Mexico. A place of stone monuments, elegant traditions, and mariachis echoing through time. I believe that’s where Valiente’s soul comes from—from my lived experiences and my deepest desires. As I’ve often said, Valiente became the perfect escape for a mind longing to create.
Seven years ago, in a quiet park off Canal Street in New York City, Valiente was imagined —after I was unfairly fired. In that moment of heartbreak, it became the greatest hope for my heart.
In a world obsessed with color, Valiente dares to speak in black and white. It is where the melancholy of a bygone era meets the elegance of the present. The signature of the brand lies in its use of genuine pearls, emeralds, and other natural stones—each piece crafted with purpose, each earring unapologetically mismatched, designed to stand out.
We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
Not at all. It’s a tough time to be a dreamer, but I’m incredibly fortunate to be surrounded by people who remind me of what matters. Even when some doubt me, others believe—and that belief is what keeps me going.

I’m a Mexican designer driven by the belief that every woman deserves to feel elevated—every single day.
My work specializes in hand-wired designs featuring pearls, emeralds, and a variety of natural gemstones, each piece crafted with care and intention.
What I’m most proud of is never giving up—even when some collections didn’t sell. Every setback has shaped my journey and sharpened my vision.
I believe everyone carries their own magic, but my deep love for fashion and my unique perspective set my work apart in a way that’s truly my own.
How do you think about luck?
I have the blessing of doing what I truly love so everyday feels like a very lucky day.
