Meet Melissa Temple of Disabled DISventures

Today we’d like to introduce you to Melissa Temple.

Hi Melissa, can you start by introducing yourself? We’d love to learn more about how you got to where you are today.
My husband was watching YouTube and said he wanted to be a Disney YouTuber.

I was like “I don’t want to” but I told him I would help him with that but we have to do it from a disability perspective because the way they recommend people do things isn’t how we do them!

So I made a website where we have a blog and resources, a YouTube channel, and other social media and we started this journey!

I’m sure you wouldn’t say it’s been obstacle free, but so far would you say the journey has been a fairly smooth road?
It’s a daily struggle and we are nowhere near where we want to be!! The biggest obstacle is trying to reach the people we need to reach!!

I see comments all the time that nobody covers what we do!! I want to shout to the world WE DO!!!

Great, so let’s talk business. Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
We specialize in disability travel and lifestyle. We have a deep focus on Disney Parks but since we moved to Central Florida we are going to be branching out to other theme parks which we are so excited about!!

We do still love Disney and will hopefully be having a lot more Disney content since we now have our annual passes!!

Who else deserves credit for your story?
David – is the ideal guy and as I can him the head wheelchair pusher. This was his idea. He is my 1st mate in always and we are going on 24 years married!!

Gillian is our daughter and only child and assistant wheelchair pusher and she has been learning about photography and helping with all of that aspect of our business!!!

We couldn’t do this without the people we do have that read, watch, comment, and like our posts, blogs, and videos!!

Thank you, guys, so much!!
