Micah Gregory

Hi Micah, so excited to have you on the platform. So before we get into questions about your work-life, maybe you can bring our readers up to speed on your story and how you got to where you are today?
My journey started in high-school. Being a creative kids who took chorus, Colorguard, drama 3-D art, and TV production. I knew that performing and creating was a passion mine that I wanted to share with people. After graduating, I developed a knack for creative writing for plays, musicals, and feature films – this hobbie became really useful during the pandemic, when everything was shutdown and people were instructed to stay inside…. you leave a guy like me alone with his creative brain, he have 8 movies scripts, 10 plays, and 7 musicals written out….. and that I did. Creating skeletons for a lot of projects but of course creative writing need motivation and inspiration to fuel the mind, so i ended up with ideas that haven’t quite made it any further that a titles, all except a few.

For my 21st I wanted to have a murder mystery party with a storyline written by me. It was something small and catered to my friends and family, but the storyline consisted of your childhood figure (Santa, Easter Bunny, etc). All my friends and family were assigned a character and instructed not to tell anyone until Day off. Everyone can dressed out and all looked really amazing and well put together. The storyline that was written wasn’t a typical story, it had many twists and turns that all concluded the opposite of you may have thought. My guest were all invested in how I played out, they encouraged he to do something more with that script, so that I did.

I found Micah Daiquon Media, LLC. A media company designed to give people like me an outlet to showcase themselves. Under MDM, you’ll find Blackbookstories – a podcast channel designed to host radio dramas. With original stories written by local writers and aspiring voice actors based out of Orlando. We aim to bring storytelling to central Florida

I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
One of the biggest struggles is find the motivation to write. There are so many idea that’s there but finding the motivation to start writing and continuing writing is the hardest part, especially when you’re the only one writing.

Thanks – so what else should our readers know about your work and what you’re currently focused on?
My specialty is in screenwriting and playwright. I enjoy creating stories out of nothing. I am most proud of Blackbookstories season 2, the first season was a trial and error run having a lot of flaws but season pre- and post production have proven to improve the quality of the story.
