Today we’d like to introduce you to Morgan Cox.
Alright, so thank you so much for sharing your story and insight with our readers. To kick things off, can you tell us a bit about how you got started?
I’m the Founder of MAC Marketing & Public Relations! I am from Fort Lauderdale, Florida and made my way to Orlando for college where I attended The University of Central Florida. I graduated Spring 2020 from UCF with my degree in Entertainment Management and Media with a minor in Marketing. I’ve always had a passion for business and anything that allows me to be creative.
During the COVID-19 pandemic, I had a lot of free time and starting creating marketing content for family and friends as a hobby. It helped me to keep my mind off of post-grad difficulties and my mental state at the time. I created content so much that my sister said to me “Hey you need to make this into a business.” So, I did! I took a leap of faith and that week, I started MAC Marketing & Public Relations where I create quality content and branding with integrity, creativity and an open mind for my clients. Never did I think I would have started a marketing company. When you explore your options and tap into your greatness, you will be surprised at where it can take you and how much you can fall in love with it.
We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
Nothing worth having comes easy. The road has not been smooth at all. Having graduated in a pandemic and not being aware of the future was extremely challenging. The stress of not meeting my original goals due to COVID and not having a backup plan was discouraging. I was applying to more jobs than I could keep count of. The job market for recent graduates was low and I had a negative mindset. When I first established my business, it was difficult to get my name out there. I had such a slow start to my business and was questioning where my business was going. I felt like I had jumped into something I wasn’t ready for. I’ve trusted people when I first started that I shouldn’t have, had my time wasted… and list can go on. Being an entrepreneur is difficult and I had to learn about the business world the hard way at times. However, through my failures and challenges, I was gaining experience and knowledge. My biggest takeaway was that it is important to remain consistent and passionate. If you are consistent, your hard work will pay off. I like believe that if people aren’t interacting with you immediately, trust that they see you and your hard work.
We’ve been impressed with MAC Marketing & Public Relations, but for folks who might not be as familiar, what can you share with them about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
MAC Marketing & Public Relations is a Marketing company based in Orlando, Florida that specializes in Social Media Marketing and branding. I mainly work with small businesses and start-ups to help them create a marketing plan. I create their content and manage their social media platforms. My mission at MAC Marketing and Public Relations is to create quality content and branding with integrity, creativity and an open mind so that my clients can feel confident in their online presence. MAC Marketing & Public Relations stands out from others in the passion that goes into every step from the moment I take on a new client. I am such a huge believer in letting my clients be creative and open with me so we can create the best marketing strategy for their business. I am most proud of starting my business during a pandemic and having it grown into something that I am passionate about and something that my clients can rely on for their businesses.

Collaboration gives me a chance to learn from other business owners and create a space to be open to ideas.
