Meet Natalie Robinson-Lafferty of Orlando

Today we’d like to introduce you to Natalie Robinson-Lafferty.

Hi Natalie, it’s an honor to have you on the platform. Thanks for taking the time to share your story with us – to start maybe you can share some of your backstory with our readers?
I have always been a planner. Growing up, I loved seeing the details of events come together and organizing separate elements into a cohesive whole greater than the sum of its parts. I started this business with the singular idea that I could allow those skills and my creativity to flourish in the romance and grandeur of weddings. I built it up while working full-time, a passion project after hours. My husband joined me not long into the journey, coordinating alongside me, and we began to market ourselves as a husband-and-wife duo. We are high-school sweethearts and have found profound joy and gratitude in helping others begin this new chapter in their lives.
Gradually, as my client base expanded, I was able to leave my full-time job to focus entirely on this exciting new venture. Over the years, the business has grown, but the core ethos remains the same: we are a team with a passion for telling love stories. I have this wonderful opportunity in life to live and fulfill my dream alongside my partner, creating something memorable and beautiful and unique.

I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
The journey to owning and operating a full-fledged business from scratch was daunting; looking back at the late nights emailing vendors after working a shift at my full time job in healthcare, or scheduling client meetings during any possible free time – it was difficult and stressful and ultimately, incredibly rewarding. I spent hours formatting timelines and polishing welcome guides and captioning social media posts, working towards building quality for my brand and an identity for my business.
Ultimately, though, the greatest challenge was my own self-doubt. Over time, I learned to trust myself and my instincts, to advocate for my clients, and confidently enter a community of established, professional vendors as a respected equal. And all the time I spent building my dream is now a source of pride and an acknowledgement of my dedication to both my clients and the industry as a whole.

Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know about your work?
As a wedding planner, I am fortunate that my work blends my two passions: creativity and organization. On one side, there is the artistry in curating a couple’s love story through design and atmosphere. By carefully selecting details, designing unique tablescapes, choosing florals, and including thoughtful touches, I am able to craft a unique day that feels magical and personal. On the other side, I thrive on logistics, orchestrating the behind-the-scenes chaos into something seamless. I manage timelines, coordinate vendors, and ensure every detail comes together. What I love most is the harmony between the two — building something beautiful, both in vision and execution.

What sort of changes are you expecting over the next 5-10 years?
Over the last six years, I have seen the direction of wedding planning change in that couples no longer look for just a coordinator or planner, but rather a creative partner, able to bring their unique vision to life. This direction aligns beautifully with the heart of our business. From the very beginning, our ethos has been rooted in storytelling, designing weddings that feel deeply personal and thoughtfully curated. As a husband-and-wife team who have built this business, we approach each wedding with the same care, creativity, and attention to detail we would want for our own. I have always believed in designing experiences that are not just beautiful, but meaningful — and I believe Eucalpytus & Rose is well-positioned to meet the industry’s evolution with intention, innovation, and heart.
