Hi Nelly, we’re thrilled to have a chance to learn your story today. So, before we get into specifics, maybe you can briefly walk us through how you got to where you are today?
KhaoticDollz Artistry began as a personal venture in my hometown of Champaign, Illinois, born out of a desire to escape a draining job and the traditional workforce. Initially, I focused on selling cosmetics, but I soon realized my passion for beauty and the need for a change of scenery. This led me to relocate to Orlando in June 2022, where I pursued my dreams by enrolling in esthetician school. By February 2023, I proudly graduated as a licensed esthetician and certified makeup artist. Throughout this journey, the name “KhaoticDollz Artistry” remained significant to me, as it symbolizes the tumultuous yet transformative experiences of my life and my ability to overcome obstacles. This name represents not just a business, but a testament to resilience and personal growth.
I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
The road since moving from Illinois to Florida has not been smooth I would definitely say I have my good and bad days. For me personally, I feel like the mind can be a very dangerous place when you really are trying to pursue a goal and make massive changes. I feel it’s forever my biggest obstacle to overcome. Some days I feel like I made the wrong decision in leaving my hometown; other days, I feel like I’m not good enough, especially with trying to rebuild not only myself but my brand as well. It becomes overwhelming at times, especially with discouragement, but it comes and goes. I know to always push negative thoughts aside; it only lasts for a moment.

How do you think about luck?
I wouldn’t say luck… im a firm believer especially in the beauty industry on what’s meant for you is meant for you cause certain thing can hit the fan and when that happens it’s nit something to be upset about just take it with a grain of salt and keep going
