Today we’d like to introduce you to Nikolas Gomez.
Hi Nikolas, thanks for joining us today. We’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
I started to make music because of my friend Rhashod. Me and him would freestyle all the time in 9th grade. Then he got locked up and I did too and when we got out we started to take this rap thing serious so I spoke to my other boy he more like a manager to me named Jig he owns YP the label which I associate myself with. He paid for everything in the studio and gave me the opportunity I needed and now I go to the studio all the time oh and shout out my producer/engineer/ugly ass homeboy morepass! Haha none of this would have been possible without him either he’s the one who got me sounding how I sound on that mic haha!
We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
It definitely has not been a smooth road. I have been in and out of jail consistently just dealing with bad decisions and I was down bad with no money like that but my boy Jig had me and my girl always had me so I made it thru that particular struggle with the opportunities that were granted to me by them.
As you know, we’re big fans of you and your work. For our readers who might not be as familiar what can you tell them about what you do?
I make music. My new single “bleedin out” is out now on all platforms so go check that out. I’m currently in the works of making a music video for that song so it isn’t out on YouTube as of yet. But it will be soon. I’m most proud of my teams growth. We have really got together and accomplished so much and I’m very proud of that.
We all have a different way of looking at and defining success. How do you define success?
Being financially stable and accomplishing goals you set is being a successful individual for me.
