Today we’d like to introduce you to Noah Lasalle.
Hi Noah, please kick things off for us with an introduction to yourself and your story.
Growing up my life always felt meaningless. I was always lost on what my purpose was and I always had trouble fitting in with society. This included different jobs or making friends. When I was twenty years old I hit rock bottom in my life; I lost my house, job, relationship and I had nowhere to turn. One day my friend calls me out of the blue and asks me to be on one of his songs. He offered me a place to stay for a couple of months, while I worked on a project with him. Once I was there, I started getting more into rapping. My friend was the one who pushed me to take all of my pain and anger and turn it into art. Music started out as something to do as an outlet for my feelings and turned into a way of life. Two years went by and I started singing and recording nonstop, I found myself singing in professional recording studios. Ironically as my mental health started to decline, my craft in music improved. One day I was in the studio recording an album when I was introduced to a manager in the music industry, he had heard my hit single “Poison” and told me that we could take this places. From there it became a long journey of writing and recording music while battling with my sobriety and poor mental health. At some point in my life, it clicked for me that music wasn’t just an outlet, it was my way of life. A motto that I live by is “without music life is pointless”. I finally learned that my purpose in this world was to create art from my pain and suffering. I hope that in some ways my music gives hope and comfort to those who are suffering from similar struggles of the mind and heart. My hopes are to help people know that they are not alone and that there are people out there who battle with the same demons. Music is the only thing that helped me find stability in this world and without it, I don’t know if I would be here today.
Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
It has not been a smooth road, most of the struggles I had I was able to deal with alone. The hardest thing I encountered was realizing who actually believed in me and who was just hanging around me for the success.
Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
I write and record hiphop/rap. I specialize in singing melodies and intricate raps. I’m known for my TikTok videos of duetting other artists and writing lyrics to the open verse challenges. I am also known for making my own music. The thing that I’m most proud of is my ability to paint a picture with my words and inspire others.
What was your favorite childhood memory?
My favorite memory as a child is sitting in my dad’s car with my best friend freestyling to beats on the internet. it didn’t matter what time a day or where we were at. we did this every day it seemed like.
