Today we’d like to introduce you to Pablo Maldonado-Rios.

Pablo Maldonado-Rios

Hi Pablo, We’re thrilled to have a chance to hear your story today. So, before we get into specifics, can you briefly walk us through how you got to where you are today?
I’m a young agricultural engineer who moved from Puerto Rico to Florida to be with my girlfriend and look for new opportunities. When I got to Florida, I faced the reality of finding a new job, but I couldn’t find one in my field. I’ve always been interested in fashion and fitness, and my girlfriend gave me the idea to start a clothing brand. Without knowing anything about business, we scatter the internet, YouTube, and other resources such as mentors to help us in this adventure. Step by step, we began creating what is now Molty.Fit online store. Our designs are 100% unique and made by us. They are made to have functional clothes you can use in and out of the gym. We aim to expand our brand globally and inspire others to follow their dreams.

Can you tell us about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned? Looking back, would you say it’s been easy or smooth?
No, it hasn’t been a smooth road. At first, we didn’t know what we were getting ourselves into. There was a lot of paperwork and fear. Then, we didn’t have the money to fund our first launch, so we used our savings, and the first shipment arrived late. We have hit many bumps, especially trying to make ads and get our names out there. We’ve got completely wrong shipments that have made us want to cry, but we have managed to keep our heads high.

We’ve been impressed with Molty.Fit LLC, but for folks who might not be as familiar, what can you share with them about what you do and what sets you apart?
We are a clothing brand that specializes in gym/street-style apparel. We design our clothes to be worn seamlessly in and out of the gym. We pride ourselves on creating the best and most fashionable gym shorts you won’t find anywhere else. What sets us apart from others is that each collection we make has a special meaning about personal growth. The thing I’m most proud of is that we created our brand from scratch without the help of other people.

Do you have any memories from childhood that you can share with us?
My favorite childhood memory was a family trip to Disney World in Orlando when I was 8. This memory is important because it was our first family trip outside Puerto Rico.
