Today we’d like to introduce you to Paola Tambo
Hi Paola, please kick things off for us with an introduction to yourself and your story.
It all started six years ago in Reno, Nevada after I gave birth to my twin girls. At the moment, I had three babies at home (my oldest was only a year and a half old), so going out on walks and little trips with my family was very therapeutic and grounding for me. That is when my love for traveling, photography, and architecture started. Most of the time, we would go on drives around the neighborhood and I would photograph pretty historic homes, and then do a little bit of research on the building and share it on social media with my followers. To my surprise, there were several people interested in this type of content. When we moved from Reno, Nevada to Eustis, Florida three years ago, it felt like it was a season of new beginnings for our family, and that is when my photography style changed from pretty buildings and houses to beautiful destinations. Currently, these lovely destinations range from popular places and hidden gems mainly in England and the United States. My blog and Instagram account have allowed me to travel and collaborate with a few pages and companies, opening doors for me to live my passion in a way I never imagined before! What started as a little Instagram page showcasing pretty houses in Reno, Nevada, is now home to a growing, supportive community not only where I live but all around the world!
Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
Although the road hasn’t always been smooth, I am blessed to say I have a very supportive family. This in itself has given me so much strength and confidence to keep doing what I do. Even though I love traveling with my husband and kids and my dream would be to do all of my travels with them, the reality is, this is not always possible. We are blessed to live in a beautiful state such as Florida, and we are based in a city that is close to many wonderful places like Disney and Orlando as a whole, but when the opportunities to do something bigger come (such as traveling to England ), it is hard for me to not feel guilty as I mostly go on these trips alone. This has been a struggle for me as a wife and mom to now four children, but with the help and encouragement of my husband, I always gather the strength and courage I need to keep on working on my dream!
Appreciate you sharing that. What else should we know about what you do?
I am a travel content creator on Instagram (@architect_atheart), and I also write travel articles on my blog (paolagtambo.com.) My travel suggestions are mainly about England and the United States, and I find joy in inspiring others to visit these places and all the beauty that is to be found within them. Although I share popular spots and things to do in these countries from time to time, I am also known within the community for showing little “hidden gems” or less-known spots. People love seeing the charm of smaller towns such as Eustis, Leesburg, Tavares, and Mount Dora when it comes to Florida. These places are very local to me, and fabulous day trip options for those coming to Orlando. Most people don’t know these options are available to them, as they mostly focus their plans on Disney and the beach. It is a delight for me to increase the awareness of these beautiful towns while promoting safe and responsible tourism within them.
Is there anything else you’d like to share with our readers?
Travel content creation is wonderful, but, in the last years, this niche has grown tremendously on social media. Doing something considered popular can be scary and feel worthless at times. You may wonder if it would make a difference, or if someone will care. My piece of advice is, it is always worth it to be who you are and to follow your dreams! Your uniqueness, love, and passion for what you do will always end up touching someone’s life, and, most of the time, it will happen when you least expect it. It has been a great joy for me to find along the way that my travel suggestions have inspired someone to visit a spot and that, because of that, they were able to create some wonderful memories they will treasure forever. Believe in yourself, keep working hard, celebrate the small wins, and, most importantly, don’t compare your journey with that of others, but rather find joy in who you are and how you are personally growing!

- Collaborations with businesses in the travel and hospitality niche are always welcome! (Whether they are paid or gifted, I am pretty flexible and always try to find a middle point that works both for the client and I).
