Meet Patricia Petrakis of Casselberry

Today we’d like to introduce you to Patricia Petrakis

Hi Patricia, thanks for joining us today. We’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
Absolutely! My journey as an artist has been anything but linear—it’s been a colorful adventure filled with creativity, resilience, and a little bit of magic. I first launched Patricia’s Stationery + Designs in 2018, creating whimsical, artful stationery that brought joy to celebrations big and small.

In 2020, I took a step back to write Gel Pen Flowers, a deeply personal memoir about turning scars into flowers, reclaiming my worth, and embracing the beauty of defiant joy through my ADHD superpowers and the healing magic of art.

Now, I’m back with fresh inspiration, expanding my art licensing, reopening my wholesale and party invitation collections, and stepping into a new chapter—hosting hands-on workshops! My first event is happening this April at YogaSix Winter Springs, where kids will get to stretch, create, and explore their creativity through yoga and crafts. It’s a full-circle moment, blending my love for art with community and joyful experiences.

We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
Oh, absolutely not! If you’re a mom chasing a dream, you definitely feel me. After having my daughter, I left my job in marketing and decided to go all in on my art. And, of course, I did this during a time when luxury wedding invitations weren’t exactly a priority—let’s just say a lot has changed since 2018, and I’m still navigating that shift.

It’s been challenging, but also incredibly rewarding. Getting to build something I love while adapting to an ever-changing market is a journey in itself. But let’s be real—this isn’t the hardest thing I’ve faced (cough cough read my book Gel Pen Flowers 😉). Through every obstacle, I’ve learned that creativity, resilience, and a little bit of defiant joy can turn even the toughest moments into something beautiful.

As you know, we’re big fans of you and your work. For our readers who might not be as familiar what can you tell them about what you do?
I’m an artist, illustrator, and storyteller, bringing creativity to life through Patricia’s Stationery + Designs. My work is all about Paper Perfected—from whimsical, artful stationery to bespoke invitations and illustrations that make even the smallest moments feel magical. I specialize in wedding invitations, party stationery, and art licensing, designing patterns and illustrations that blend elegance with a touch of playfulness.

Woah, talk about taking on the world! But that’s me—I want to do it all. Honestly, don’t we all in some way? I like to think of myself as a Renaissance girlie, always chasing new creative adventures. My core mission? To spread creativity by bringing small moments to life through thoughtfully crafted stationery, designs, and art.

What sets me apart? Every piece I create tells a story. Whether it’s a wedding suite that captures a couple’s love or a children’s illustration that sparks imagination, I pour my heart into every design. My brand is built on the idea that art isn’t just decoration—it’s an experience, a memory, a feeling. A sense of wonder, inviting people to believe in the beauty of creativity and the magic found in the smallest details.

I’m especially proud of my memoir, Gel Pen Flowers—a story about resilience, creativity, and finding beauty in life’s messy moments. Did you know I illustrated the book, too? YUP, that officially makes me a book illustrator! 😍 And now, I’m expanding my creative world even further—relaunching my wholesale collections, designing new party invitations, and creating new ways to bring art into everyday life.

From my studio to your hands—designed to spark joy and creativity, making magic out of the little details, and always Paper Perfected.

Do you have any advice for those just starting out?
It is tough out there, but darling, you are tougher. The best thing you can do? Make friends with other artists, build your community, and find your people. Surround yourself with creatives who uplift and inspire you—it makes all the difference. And most importantly? Stand your ground. Not everyone will vibe with you, and that’s okay. Stay true to your art, your values, and the vision that lights you up.

If I could go back and tell myself one thing, it would be this: Don’t wait for permission to take up space. Your art, your voice, your creativity—it all matters. Keep showing up, keep creating, and trust that the right people will find you.
