Meet Rachel Scully

Today we’d like to introduce you to Rachel Scully.

Hi Rachel, thanks for joining us today. We’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
Junior year of high school my dad got diagnosed with stage 4 colon cancer, being a single father we had to struggle. Leaving me with a necessity and a passion known as “scullysjewleryandgreenery”

I’m sure you wouldn’t say it’s been obstacle-free, but so far would you say the journey has been a fairly smooth road?
Now don’t get me wrong starting a business was never all sunshine and rainbows. I can look back and vividly recall days where I found juggling; school, my dad’s illness, and a business were difficult but, in the broad perspective the lessons I’ve learned through young entrepreneurship have been extremely difficult to surpass.

Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know about your work?
Here at Scully, we believe small steps can make a huge difference. Starting with ethically sourced items that are hand-made by our family members. We use vintage/repurposed glassware to pot our succulents In, stopping them from entering that landfill!

Are there any apps, books, podcasts, blogs, or other resources you think our readers should check out?
Being the Debate team president our business has been gifted many opportunities from debating politics to policies. Asking questions has definitely helped us!

Pricing:

  • Vintage succulent $9
  • Earrings $7
  • Hand made rings $8
  • Necklaces $9

So proud of this story because it hits close to home for me. That is my son Andrew Wierman and his girlfriend Rachel Scully and I could not be more proud of them. They have faced many obstacles and troubles but have been determined and triumphant through it all never giving up. They love and support each other with all their being and are just an amazing team. I love you both!
