Hi Raven, so excited to have you with us today. What can you tell us about your story?
I got into wellness in 2021 after Covid. I had been putting on weight since graduating and Covid only added to the problem. By the end of 2020 I had put on over 100 lbs. I made it my mission to lose the extra weight and to make my health a priority. Over the next year through intermittent fasting and exercise I lost the weight. I had a signifiant weight loss of 120 pounds. After losing the weight I started having acidity problems. I kept taking medicine, and tried to eat less acidic foods but nothing worked and I continuously found myself in the hospital due to throwing up and a burning sensation within my stomach. Doctors said that since my weight loss was so dramatic my acidity was trapped in my new smaller stomach. Even after the doctors prescribed stronger doses the sickness continued. Then I began to read about the side effects of some of the medications I was taking and just how harmful prolonged use of it was. It was then I got into herbalism and learning about the importance of knowing the benefits of herbs and plants. Sea moss was one of the first things that truly helped me. I make my now “Tummy Tonic Tea” at home with the most powerful ingredients known to detox, replenish, and cleanse the gut. After drinking Tummy Tonic for 2 weeks my stomach inflammation and acidity had stopped. I started making Tummy Tonic for friends and family. All of whom swore by its impact to help with their acidity, heart burn, and various other symptoms. I started diving deeper into making teas, tinctures, and other natural healing products. Once I started selling a few products a week I had the idea to start a business. That’s when Sea of Vita was born. “Vita” is Latin for Life which is the goal of my brand. To help restore quality of life to those also seeking a natural remedy for health issues they are having. In 2024 I got into my first store fronts. Those storefronts being Honey House Vintage in Thornton park, as well as Pure envy med spa. I do pop up events all around Orlando, and also have an Etsy shop with the user name “Seaofvita”.
Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
It’s definitely a labor of love but there was a lot of trial and error. When crafting my blends I wanted it to not only be good for you, but taste good as well. Many of the healing herbs such as sea moss have a strong taste. Finding ways to offset the flavor was difficult, but after many months of research and tweaking the ingredients I can confidently say all of my blends taste great while still giving you the healing benefits needed for a healthy life.

At Sea of Vita we are a company that specializes in sea moss infused teas, coffees, tinctures, and honey pops.
