Today we’d like to introduce you to Sasha Celis.
Hi Sasha, we’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
Hello, my name is Sasha Célis. I was born in the beautiful island of Puerto Rico but have been living in Kissimmee for over 20 years. I am the mother of two precious children and wife of a loving husband. My story begins when I was in High School.
When I was in High School, I participated in a school fashion show that sparked in me the desire to model. Walking on that runaway made me feel confident, beautiful, and free. A dream was born to possibly pursue modeling in the near future. But the dream was soon put on hold as other things became more important to achieve, such as finishing college, getting married, and becoming a mom… The dream became dormant and forgotten.
As a stay home mom, I took a strong interest in Natural Living, meaning a lifestyle free of toxins and more of natural sources. It was during this time that I found the benefits of using quality essential oils and plant-based products. I became passionate about sharing with others healthy living and wellness. Without realizing it, I became an entrepreneur in the pursuit of learning how to reach, share, and help people in living a healthier and naturally derived life.
Yet, I was still struggling with self-confidence and other insecurities that I wanted to overcome. That’s when I began searching different avenues for self-growth and help. It was during an event that I attended where I saw a Fashion Show being presented and remembered my dormant dream of walking down a runway again. I began to think about it and believe that now that I was an adult, I might be able to accomplish something. In spite of all my negative thinking that I might be too “old” to be doing this, I started to search online for modeling classes and found Metamorphosis by Ilka Tamar. She was offering classes and I signed up. The rest is history!
I’m sure you wouldn’t say it’s been obstacle free, but so far would you say the journey has been a fairly smooth road?
It has not been easy. Modeling, though I was excited to do it, brought out a lot of insecurities. The number one “struggle” . . . me. The lack of confidence, fear, and overthinking things has made the journey difficult. Nevertheless, I knew I wanted to conquer what was stopping me from progressing and I wanted to grow. I knew that pursuing modeling was the key to shake me out of my comfort zone and take me to another level. Sharing natural living through the essential oils and seeing it as a business was one step toward my personal and business growth. Stepping into the modeling scene was an even bigger push out of my comfort zone. Pursuing modeling at my age was not something that I thought could happen. I am not “old”, but I am not 15 either. I lacked confidence, so that made it a challenge. Yet, my desire for change, growth, and to be a better version of myself, out did the fear and I went for it.
Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
My business is to share with others natural living through essential oils and plant-based products. I educate and empower others to start living with out toxic chemicals and have a better quality of life. I also am a model and I use my sessions as an opportunity for personal growth and creative development. I have been able to merge both passions because both support each other.
I am most proud of myself for pushing through to reach a dream I thought was long gone. To be able to inspire my children and other women to reach for their dreams in spite of time, age, circumstances, and finances . . . if you can dream it, anything is possible!
One thing I think sets me apart from others doing this type of business is my transparency and integrity. I will not share something I don’t believe in. I am honest with my customers and try to be very resourceful. I also don’t care to push anything down anyone’s throat. You have to come to terms with how and what life you want to live. Once you have figured that out, you seek what you need to make that happen.
How do you think about happiness?
What makes me happy is knowing that I am offering my family and others healthy alternatives for Natural Living. I also enjoy going to the beach with my family, painting, reading self-help books, modeling, and participating in other activities that stimulate my creativity.
