Meet Seder Martin of CLUTCH

Today we’d like to introduce you to Seder Martin.

Hi Seder, thanks for sharing your story with us. To start, maybe you can tell our readers some of your backstory.
Born and raised in Lakeland, FL. Some of my earliest memories in life are riding dirt bikes, seeing that I got put on one at the age of three years old when my parents told me they would buy me one if I could ride a bicycle without training wheels. They didn’t expect me to do so that early but hey, a promise is a promise, haha. I started racing local tracks at the age of five and started doing Amateur Motocross Nationals the following years like Mini O’s and Loretta Lynn’s. Due to the expense and competitiveness of the sport, I gave it up at the age of 11. To be honest, by the end, I was already burnt out with racing because from the age of 5-11, I was training, on eating regimens and sacrificing a lot just to get to the races. Not having the proper funding to compete with the “top” guys definitely played into all this. I was also homeschooled until the 8th grade. Over my high school career, I attended four different private/public schools and tried every sport I could like football, basketball, golf, baseball, soccer, and tennis. I can without a doubt say, no sport compares to the thrill, adrenaline, and community that Motocross has…

I’ve had a business mindset since a very young age and have always been self-driven to accomplish the goals I have in life. I always knew I would eventually own my own business but didn’t quite expect to have one at the age of 20 years old. I was able to graduate high school with my associate’s degree and continued college to obtain my bachelor’s in business by the age of 20 while working a full-time job at a pizza shop to pay for college out of my own pocket. During this time, I started working on the company I currently own called CLUTCH. We specialize in content creation and have our own line of branded merchandise on our Online Store. We are just hitting the one-year mark and can excitingly say we’ve come a long way since the start…

Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
The road hasn’t been completely smooth, but honestly, that’s what makes it so fun and means a lot more when I see growth within the company. Can’t begin to describe the amount of 60-80 hour work weeks I’ve put in over the last year and the number of sleepless nights since the start of CLUTCH. With that being said, I wouldn’t trade what I am doing right now for the world. I wake up every day excited thinking about CLUTCH and go to bed thinking about it as well. Personally, there isn’t a better feeling than working on your own passions and seeing the growth daily. If I could give anyone my age or someone starting a small business advice… I would tell them without a doubt it is not an easy path, but it is one of the most rewarding ones. In the beginning years, you will not get sleep, haha. But with lots of hard work, consistency, and patience, it’ll pay off.

We’ve been impressed with CLUTCH, but for folks who might not be as familiar, what can you share with them about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
So we’ve been an established company for just over a year now but have put 110% effort and seen the most growth at CLUTCH within the last six months. I think many different aspects set us apart from other companies. From the design/ look of the brand to the experience we give through our work. We put great emphasis on positivity, consistency, and personal growth and want to share that through our company. We want the customer experience to be as “clutch” as possible as we try and interact and respond to all of our followers and provide the best experience/customer service we can.

We specialize in content creation and offer companies and individuals professional videos, commercials, photos, promotional graphics, and illustrations. Any idea one may have, we want to bring it to a screen. We do a lot of work with professional and amateur motocross/supercross racers and companies but offer our content creation services to anyone, regardless of the type of company, individual, or sport. We have worked with artists to create music videos, real estate companies, made car/truck edits, and worked with other small local businesses to name a few.

We also have a Clutch Online Store that offers an array of products from apparel, to motocross goggles/gear, to air fresheners for your car. We have a new drop each month that includes at least one new item that we add to our online store. At CLUTCH, we also have seasonal drops that include many different items/accessories in the main seasons like Spring, Summer, Fall, and Winter. We are definitely proud of the progress we have made, but we are playing the long game. And to be honest, we have only just begun…

Before we let you go, we’ve got to ask if you have any advice for those who are just starting out?
If I can give any advice to someone just starting out, I would tell them it takes a TON of work. 95% of the businesses we see “blow up overnight” have actually been grinding for years before receiving the recognition they have. There’s going to be a LOT of highs and a LOT of lows. Take everything with a grain of salt and stay consistent. Because at the end of the day there isn’t a better boss to work for than yourself!
