Meet Shauna McIntosh of Bunnell FL

Today we’d like to introduce you to Shauna McIntosh.

Hi Shauna, so excited to have you on the platform. So before we get into questions about your work-life, maybe you can bring our readers up to speed on your story and how you got to where you are today?
Art has always been the heartbeat of my life.
From a young age, I was constantly creating… taking every art class I could find both in and outside of school. In high school, I discovered graphic design and immediately fell in love. That passion led me to pursue it in college, where I also picked up photography courses… because let’s be real, I always had a camera in hand.

After college, I landed an internship that quickly turned into a full-time graphic design role. From 2005 to 2018, I worked as a full-time designer for others by day, while building my photography portfolio through evening and weekend shoots.

In 2007, I launched Kreativ Studios to house the growing number of freelance projects coming my way, both in design and photography. It wasn’t until 2018 that I finally took the leap I’d been dreaming about for years: I left the 9–5 and went full-time with Kreativ, doing what I love every single day.

Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
Being a business owner is both a blessing and a challenge.
The grind never really stops… but the freedom to create my own schedule and pursue my passion makes it all worth it. My journey has been anything but an overnight success. It took years of hard work, learning, and growth to get where I am today.

And in many ways, I’m starting over.
I relocated to Florida in December 2024, so right now I’m in the process of finding my people, those who connect with my work and value the creativity and care I pour into every session and design. I know they’re out there, and I’m showing up every day to reach them.

As you know, we’re big fans of you and your work. For our readers who might not be as familiar what can you tell them about what you do?
I’m a graphic designer and photographer with over 15 years of experience helping people and brands look their absolute best. I specialize in capturing bold, emotive, and beautifully composed imagery for families, couples, high school seniors, maternity, and professionals.

On the design side, I create intentional, clean, and personality-driven visuals, everything from logos and brand kits to social media graphics and print materials. I’m known for my attention to detail, my ability to make clients feel confident and comfortable in front of the camera, and my signature mix of creative vision with professional polish.

I’m most proud of building a business that allows me to blend my love for photography and design while creating meaningful, lasting relationships with my clients. I’ve worked incredibly hard to turn my creative passions into a full-time career, and I’m proud of the trust people place in me to document their most important milestones or represent their brands visually.

I bring the perspective of both a visual artist and a designer, so every photo I take and every graphic I create is rooted in thoughtful composition, storytelling, and aesthetic balance. My clients often say I have a calming energy that puts them at ease, whether it’s a nervous high school senior or a business owner who “hates getting photos taken.”

Plus, I genuinely care. I listen. I plan. I personalize. Whether I’m capturing a growing family or designing a brand identity, I treat every project with intention and heart. My goal is always the same: to help people feel seen, celebrated, and confident.

What matters most to you?
What matters most to me is connection.
I believe that photos and design aren’t just visual, they’re emotional. They tell stories, capture legacies, and reflect identities. That’s why I care deeply about the people I work with and the impact my work has on their lives and businesses.

At the end of the day, if someone walks away from our session feeling more confident, more inspired, or more themselves… that’s everything. That’s what drives me.
