Today we’d like to introduce you to Shauntis Woulard.
Shauntis, we appreciate you taking the time to share your story with us today. Where does your story begin?
My name is Shantis Woulard. Last year after my 28th birthday I decided to lose a few pounds. During my journey, I started making Waistbeads to track my waistline as my pounds fell off, I get like myself again. I’m a boy mom of four so I definitely needed my energy back. Wearing Waistbeads became my thing and shortly after, I found myself making them for sisters and friends. Being able to create things that I love and knowing someone around the world is wearing it gets me so excited!!! There are moments when school and everyday life gets the best of me and that’s when o turn to beading.
Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
It has not been the easiest road. I have days where I have a ton of orders but I have to discipline myself lol if my homework isn’t done, then I can’t bead. And there are times when being a mom comes first.
Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
At the moment, I’m currently enrolled in the Radiology program at Keiser university in Daytona beach. I have six months left and I couldn’t be more proud of myself!! What sets me apart from others is that I always weather the storm. No matter what challenge I’m faced with I know that God has my back.
We’d be interested to hear your thoughts on luck and what role, if any, you feel it’s played for you?
Lately, it has been nothing but good luck. I was always skeptical in the beginning because I never saw myself as a business owner. But over the past few months, business has picked up my followers are growing each day and I’m probably creating something for someone at least once a week. I never thought this would be something that I would be doing.
