Alright, so thank you so much for sharing your story and insight with our readers. To kick things off, can you tell us a bit about how you got started?
Our Florida story began in 2017 when we relocated from Long Island, NY to Clermont. Having grown up living the coastal life we were excited to find a marina for sale in our new hometown and knew we had to purchase it and bring it back to life. We wanted to share our natural love of the water, the picturesque landscape, and the friendly small-town vibe that had drawn us to Central Florida.
Our dream of creating a fun and family-friendly atmosphere where locals could hang out with friends and travelers could escape to paradise was realized when we opened Cypress Cove Marina and Resort to the public in January 2019 and The Cove Bar in the Fall of 2020. Our entrepreneurial spirit has always viewed this property, out of all that we own, as a legacy for our two children, it is definitely a labor of love.
I’m sure you wouldn’t say it’s been obstacle free, but so far would you say the journey has been a fairly smooth road?
We truly have little to complain about and have hit only a few obstacles.
We have an amazing and devoted team, have partnered with a talented group of contractors and Lake County has been wonderfully supportive of our efforts to clean up what was once an area plagued with crime and well known by the Lake County Sheriff.

Cypress Cove is located on the Clermont Chain of Lakes on beautiful and peaceful Lake Minnehaha. The Resort is home to several full-time residents, snowbirds, and vacation renters. We offer both RV and tiny home accommodations. Our tiny homes are the most adorable vacation homes around. They are fully furnished and turn-key, simply bring your personal belongings and Welcome Home. We have kayaks and paddle boards available to rent, which we offer free of charge to anyone staying on the property.
Our Marina is home to 75 boat slips, available for annual rental. The Cove Bar is open 7 days a week, in peak season, and offers a fun atmosphere that is kid and pet-friendly. Weekends are truly our favorite, as we have live local musicians and food trucks to bring the experience to the next level. For our families, we also have another Clermont business, Vortex 50, a Virtual Reality Arcade where the kids can escape their reality and parents can enjoy The VR Bar.

Our mission was to create a safe, beautiful, and serene getaway for tourists and locals alike. From the Hammocks to the swings, the bar stools to the fire pit, we are very proud of what we have built for our community.
