Meet Shontae Wilson of A&B Trendz

Today we’d like to introduce you to Shontae Wilson.

Hi Shontae, please kick things off for us with an introduction to yourself and your story.
I’m a 31 years old divorced single mom of two handsome boys and I’m happy to be able to tell my store in hopes of motivating others and making a positive different. At birth, I passed away but was brought back due to meconium aspiration but due to the lack of oxygen to her brain, I was left with a learning disability causing her to be placed into special education classes from elementary to high school. I graduated high school with a “special diploma”. I was bullied all my life and tried to commit suicide several times in my teens. At the age of nine, I was molested by a family member and I was always told I wouldn’t be anything in life.

I tried to get my GED but failed and ran out of hope of trying to succeed. Florida requires a GED in order to attend a college or trade school if you received a special high school diploma.

In 2013, I became a mother and wife. I knew I had to do something to help provide so I started a mobile boutique selling clothes out of her trunk. I was given counterfeit money and set up to be robbed. That became very dangerous so in 2017, I started an online boutique called A&B Trendz.

Months into starting the online boutique, She was blessed to have many celebrities and models promote her clothing. I was also invited to be on set of Growing Up Hip Hop ATL Season 2 “Secrets In The A”, have my clothing featured in a Netflix movie called “Out Of Bounds” and had several casting interviews for future shows. My online boutique A&B Trendz is slowly becoming successful and I’m extremely proud and motivated to keep striving.

My hopes and dreams is to get my story out and help someone by giving them hope and motivation that they can do anything in this world that they dream of despite their disability, background, or education.

We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
The road has not been smooth, I’ve had to deal with someone trying to set me up to be robbed, people making fraudulent orders on my online store and having the challenge of trying to find affordable and reliable vendors for my online store.

Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know?
A&B Trendz is an online boutique that sells women fashion, toddler/boys fashion, fashion accessories, women’s shoes, Handbags, hair accessories, and men’s fashion. All at an affordable price and have the option of a payment plan with Zip Pay(previously QuadPay). I ship out all my orders within 24 hours of purchase along with a free gift for my customer. A&B Trendz is mainly known for our affordable designer fashion. Our prices, fast shipping and top customer service is what set us apart from other boutiques. I’m mostly proud of the growth my business has gotten over the years, it shows me that I’m on the right path. I want the readers to know that when they shop with A&B Trendz, they are helping my dreams come true and is greatly appreciated. All my contact information comes straight to my phone so if they have any questions, concerns, need business advice or anything at all, I answer all phone calls, emails and text messages ASAP. I’m a very humble person that loves to give back and help others and with my business, my customers are my top priority.

What matters most to you? Why?
What matters most to me is making a positive difference in today’s world. As long as my story touches one person, I’m satisfied with that because it’s so many people out there with a similar story that is afraid to tell it and I’m happy to be the voice for them and show them that you can be anything in this world you want to be if you apply yourself, pray daily and go after everything you deserve.
