Hi Stacey, can you start by introducing yourself? We’d love to learn more about how you got to where you are today?
My story definitely hasn’t followed a straight line, but I think that’s what makes it meaningful. I originally built a career in physical therapy—earning my Master’s and working with patients across different settings. I absolutely loved the one-on-one connections and helping people move forward, both literally and figuratively.
After a car accident, I had to step away from that path, which was incredibly hard. But it also opened the door to a new chapter. I had always been the go-to person for planning family trips and unforgettable experiences for friends, and eventually I realized that maybe what came naturally to me could be more than just a hobby. I joined a small, boutique travel franchise that focuses on luxury and expedition travel, and it was the perfect fit.
Since joining, I’ve leaned into my strengths – relationship building, attention to detail, and a passion for helping people experience the world in a meaningful way. I’m also currently pursuing an Executive MBA at UCF to strengthen my business foundation and take my work to the next level.
I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
Definitely not smooth, but I’m grateful for every twist. One of the biggest struggles was redefining my identity after I had to leave the physical therapy world. I had spent years preparing for that career, and to suddenly feel like I was starting from scratch was overwhelming.. There was also the mental shift of moving from a clinical field to a creative, entrepreneurial one.
Starting a new business, especially in the travel industry, has its own learning curve. You wear every hat in the beginning: marketing, operations, customer service, even tech support! And of course, finding your voice and your niche in a competitive market takes time and patience. But every challenge helped shape my vision more clearly. I’ve learned that it’s okay to evolve and that growth often comes from the most unexpected places.
Appreciate you sharing that. What else should we know about what you do?
I’m the Senior Associate for a boutique travel franchise that specializes in luxury and expedition travel. What drew me in was the personalized, high-touch approach we offer our clients—something that really aligns with my own values. Thanks to the franchise’s strong relationships with top-tier suppliers, I was recently handpicked to experience a Paul Gauguin cruise through Tahiti this August, which is such a meaningful opportunity both personally and professionally.
What sets my work apart is the deep care and customization that goes into every trip. Whether it’s a luxury ocean cruise, an expedition to the Galápagos, a multi-generational family vacation or a large group trip, I take time to really understand what each client is hoping to experience. Travel planning can be overwhelming—my goal is to make it feel exciting, effortless, and deeply rewarding from the very first conversation.
