Today we’d like to introduce you to Stacie Wacie
Hi Stacie, we’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
I was born and raised in the small town of Brunswick, GA. I always enjoyed music but I never imagined I would grow up and actually make music. I would rap with my friends in the car for fun & one day it just clicked. I decided to sit down and really try to write something… next thing you know, I’m in NYC in a studio recording with some of the best engineers, mingling with some of the biggest names in NY, and really putting my sound and my face out there. Since then, things have taken off quicker than I ever dreamed & my fan base continues to grow daily.
Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
Oh, it most definitely has NOT been a smooth road. Music has became my passion, and I know a lot of people share the same dream as me but you don’t really know how much work and consistency it takes. Especially when you’re doing it alone. There isn’t a second of the day where I’m not working on my craft, rather it be writing new music, recording, selecting new beats, planning roll-outs, networking, traveling for shows, etc… It’s hard but I love it.
Thanks for sharing that. So, maybe next you can tell us a bit more about your work?
I’m an artist/rapper. What sets me apart from other artists is that I am a female with my own sound and my own look. I don’t take the same approach, & I don’t rap about the typical things female rappers usually do.
My go-to sound is a drill-pop vibe & is accompanied by my loud, fun signature ad-libs.
I’m mostly proud of my ability to remain original and stand out from the crowd at the same time. Im not afraid to put myself out there & chase my dreams.
If we knew you growing up, how would we have described you?
Growing up I was a normal kid for the most part. I was outgoing, and true to myself . I’ve always been an artistic individual with a desire to work independently. I started off doing nails under my own brand/small business, as well as custom-coloring wigs for clients (which I still do from time to time). Eventually, I dove into the music side of artistry & I’m so glad I did because it is truly my passion.
