Susana , we appreciate you taking the time to share your story with us today. Where does your story begin?
My journey with languages started when my family immigrated to the U.S. when I was 10. Spanish was my first language, and learning English as my second made me realize how powerful—and challenging—language can be. That experience inspired me to start Adventure Translations, helping others bridge those same gaps, not just by translating words but by capturing the emotion behind them.
I’ve always loved exploring the world and diving into different cultures, and languages play such a huge role in that. I’m super interested in learning French or Japanese next. For me, languages are a key part of our past, present, and future, and I love being so involved in that process as a language provider, constantly evolving with new tools like AI but staying grounded in human connection.
Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
Starting a business has meant wearing all the hats. Beyond just the usual business stuff—like marketing and balancing finances—I’ve had to step into roles I didn’t expect. I’m the content creator, writing posts and coming up with ways to keep people engaged. I’m the writer, shaping my business’s story and finding the right words to connect with my clients. And then I’m the brand representative, networking, attending events, and constantly putting myself out there.
Oh, and let’s not forget the CEO side—setting goals, making big decisions, and figuring out where Adventure Translations is headed next. But that’s just part of it! I’m also customer service, making sure clients feel valued, and sometimes even the IT person, troubleshooting tech stuff on the fly.
It’s a lot to juggle, but it’s part of what makes this whole thing so rewarding. The challenge of balancing all these roles has pushed me to grow, and I’m learning to embrace every part of it while keeping my business evolving with the times.

I’m excited to share what I do! At Adventure Translations, I focus on website design and creating animated videos—two things I’m super passionate about. There’s something magical about how a well-crafted website can tell a story and connect with people. And animation? It just adds that fun, engaging twist that makes ideas come alive!
What really sets me apart is my blend of creativity and effective communication. I’m all about creating content that not only looks good but also resonates with the audience. I want to help businesses express their message clearly while also making the language industry more accessible for newcomers.
I also love traveling, and that passion allows me to offer international services, connecting with clients all around the world, not just in the USA. Plus, I’m proud of the fun videos I make on YouTube! Singing is one of my favorite hobbies, and I love using that passion to create entertaining content and share useful insights to help people navigate the language field. It feels great to contribute to a community that’s been so important to me, and I’m all about keeping that excitement alive in everything I do!
Is there anyone you’d like to thank or give credit to?
I definitely have some amazing people to thank for my journey! My mom, Fabiola Austin, has been my biggest mentor and supporter. She’s always believed in my dreams and encouraged me to chase them, even when I was unsure of myself. Her advice and guidance have been invaluable as I navigate the ups and downs of starting a business.
My uncle, Gabriel Rueda, has also played a significant role. He’s been a great sounding board, offering insights and wisdom from his own experiences. He always pushes me to think bigger and helps me stay grounded when things get overwhelming.
Beyond family, I’ve had friends and fellow entrepreneurs cheering me on, offering advice and sharing their own journeys. Having that support network makes all the difference! It reminds me that I’m not alone in this and that we’re all in this together, celebrating each other’s wins and helping each other through the challenges. It’s been a beautiful part of this adventure, and I’m so grateful for each person who’s believed in me along the way!
